We had the good fortune of connecting with Stephanie Truong and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Stephanie, can you tell us more about your background and the role it’s played in shaping who you are today?
I was born and raised in Arlington, Texas. I grew up in a traditional Vietnamese household with parents that immigrated from Vietnam to the United States during the Vietnam War. Because my parents moved to America in order to find better opportunities, this has impacted me to do everything I can in both my life and career to make both our dreams come true and to one day retire them both. My upbringing in the Vietnamese culture has definitely taught me how to hustle, stay motivated, and work hard for the life I desire. Without my cultural background, I wouldn’t have the drive and motivation that I do now. I owe it to my family and culture for molding me into the person I am today.

What should our readers know about your business?
I started my teeth whitening and tooth gem business in January 2023 and it’s been the most rewarding investment I’ve made for myself! I think what sets me apart from others is that I see every client as a new friend I’m about to make. I strive to make it personal and to get to know everyone when they book with me. I also always prioritize making my clients feel as comfortable as possible during their session and let them know at any point in time, if they feel the slightest discomfort to inform me so that I can accommodate to the best of my abilities. What I am most excited about is watching both my business and myself grow and improve with each and every day. I never take a single day or client for granted and I’m always so grateful for any type of support I receive. How I got to where I am today business-wise is by viewing risks as investments and turning it into a positive outlook no matter what happens. All I did was rewire the way I perceived the events in my life and made every detail a lesson to learn moving forward. It was definitely not easy and took a lot of self inner work to think the way I do now, but when I tell you it is worth it, it truly is! I learned that rejection is redirection and that worrying won’t take away tomorrow’s problems, but today’s peace.
What I want the world to know about my brand is that it is my passion to help educate people on the importance of oral health as well as helping others feel confident in their smiles!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would take my best friend to get coffee at White Rhino, La La Kind Cafe, and/or Magnolia’s Cafe. To go out and eat, we would definitely have to go to Hatsuyuki in Fort Worth or Blue Sushi Sake Grill for Sushi , North Italia or Sixty Vines for Italian, and Fortune House or HaiDiLao for Asian cuisine. For dessert, we would get 85 Degree Bakery, Ding Tea for boba, or Cauldron for ice cream. To hang out and visit, I would recommend the Perot Museum, Klyde Warren Park (of course), At&T Discovery District, and the Dallas Art Museum.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to thank my parents, my sisters, Vivian, Tiffany, and Tina, my mentor and friend, Kevin Haywood, and all my close family and friends for the endless support, motivation, and love that they give to me each and every single day. Without you guys, I wouldn’t be the person I am today and I am eternally grateful for each and every single person!
