We had the good fortune of connecting with Starrfacesbyceci and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Starrfacesbyceci, why did you pursue a creative career?
It all started by me doing something I had never done before, getting my makeup done. I had been going to my Brow tech for about a month at the time, my brlirthday rolled around and I wanted to be a little extra, so I booked an appointment to get my makeup done. Once she finished and I looked in the mirror, my confidence shot up to a totally different level. Just that 1 day changed my entire life. Well my tech, Kena Baccus, who owns the cosmetic line Mocca Makeup abd Skincare, extended an offer to join as a consultant and with joining the team one of the perks was learning the artistry of makeup and also selling the product. After about 2 months of declining I ended up joining and started my classes. After joining the team I rekindled a friendship, who is now my business/makeup partner, and she helped me perfect my skills. I cannot leave out my friends who became clients that pushed Mr out of my comfort zone and allowed me to practice on them. Now I can say I’m published with a nice clientele.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
What sets me apart? The main aspect and I’m quoting this from my clients, my makeup is natural looking. They just look like a glammed version of themselves but most importantly they still look like themselves. Secondly the brand that I use on my clients, I have on hand and can order whatever products they need instead of sending them to multiple stores on a wild goose chase.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
