Meet Simone Fortier | Brain Reset Coach, Researcher and Manual Therapist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Simone Fortier and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Simone, career-wise, where do you want to be in the end?
The end goal is to have my lifesaving protocol, Dynamic Brain Healing, and Brain Health Assessment in the hands of every practitioner and institution that teaches physical therapists, athletic trainers, chiropractors, and massage therapists.
After that is complete, automate all the systems, coach, and consult to support those who want to change their brains, change their pain and elevate their gains.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
My business has evolved over the last 25 years. It all began working with professional athletes in Arizona and has transformed into researching neurotransmitters and how they are essential to prevent premature aging in the brain and overcome anxiety ADHD to teaching and coaching.
As a six-time concussion survivor in adulthood and over 50 falls and hits to the head as a child, I realized there was no cohesive treatment plan for those who already have had multiple concussions, ADHD, or Trauma.
I was drowning inside, but I looked healthy on the outside.
I lost my ability to communicate; I could not spell or write;
I would say the opposite of what I meant; the words just would not come out, I lost the ability to recall or remember, my quality of sleep was nonexistent, and my ability to make solid, vital decisions was impaired.
I was left alone or dismissed as there was nothing the medical community could do for me.
My injuries drove me to heal myself and create a system that would work for others. Initially, I developed a manual brain healing treatment protocol, which I taught practitioners for over ten years. The next phase was to adapt and transform a Brain Health Assessment and create a system that can be used anywhere in the world. As a result, there is a brain-changing system for the 20 percent that do not recover from a head injury within the first four weeks, a solution for anxiety, ADHD, and depression who do not see results from medication or do not want to take prescription drugs.
I am most proud of discovering a method to help people get their lives and brains back, even better than before their Trauma or concussion. The protocol has saved many lives during the last two years and will continue to prevent suicidal ideation, isolation, loneliness and help improve mental health.
What sets me apart as a coach and consultant is tools and strategies to measure brain health. Suppose we don’t support the biochemistry in the brain. In that case, it is almost impossible to change our thoughts or how we perceive information—the secret is to look at the root cause of behavior, thoughts, and pain begins the journey to creating a plan to make lasting change.
How did you get to where you are today business-wise. Was it easy? If not, how did you overcome the challenges?
I got to where I am in business today by looking at every challenge, defeat, or obstacle as an opportunity to create something new. I missed a window in 2000 where I was asked to teach my treatment protocol and create a system. I had no idea at the time that success is in a system. I was always creating and innovating, so why do I need a system I thought. One of my colleagues just sold his business for 50 million dollars because of strategies. That window closed; I was the only one at that time who had created a manual therapy technique that created lasting change, others copied parts of the therapy, and one even took my name without doing any of the protocol. So when my brain healed, and I was ready to teach, I was no longer relevant. For a time, I was bitter—a brief time. Then I thought I would create something no one else could copy something more than a word, as the word defined my previous protocol. My current system and protocol can’t reproduce because it was made out of my injury and experience. Thus, the Dynamic Brain Healing protocol arose.
What are the lessons you’ve learned along the way?
The lessons I have learned, are endless and I keep learning every day. The most important is to find your passion, create a plan and then create the system that can be in place without you.
What do you want the world to know about you or your brand and story?
My success and failures have been mine alone. I was not fortunate to have parental support for a safety net. My only option was to succeed. It pushed me beyond my comfort zone; the price was high – it cost balance and relationship. But it was all worth it, the lives I have touched, and those that touched mine still inspire me. Today I have space for both work and life only after I healed my brain.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Having my best friend visiting for a week, my goal would be to have the best experience ever. Sharing time with people slowing the world down may seem simple, but the secret is in simplicity.
The first thing we would do would be to head over to Manhattan and Hermosa beach and catch the ocean drive’s vibe. Then, take a stroll down the boardwalk, get your feet wet, and reset. Then walk up Nicks for a quick bit before heading home.
Day 2: A drive up Malibu is a must; stop at Point Dune and then hike in the hills.
Day 3: Head up to Santa Barbara to catch a game of Polo maybe run into Oprah.
Day 4 Back to LA dinner downtown at the Prank Bar, and then take in the LA Lakers.
Day 5 – Newport Beach – Lunch at Zinc Cafe, shopping at Fashion Island, and a night at the Pelican Resort
This trip is purposely not overscheduled; we have a destination without a schedule which allows for spontaneity for cafes, meeting people, and chilling.
Day 6 is a relaxing day by the ocean before the drive back to the airport.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
What inspires one person may do the opposite in another. Adversity or being told it could not be done inspired me at the deepest part of my soul. ; this passion and desire came from my connection with spirit and God. Along the way, many have added to my success, many teachers, friends, and mentors. Such as Charles Poliquin, Preston Greene, Dr. Braverman, Dean Graziosi, Robert Rishwain, Bud Furman, Lisa Nichols, and most importantly, my office manager, Jocelyn McCallum, an athletic trainer/therapist, is working on her masters.
