Meet Simeon Aston Covell Walker A.k.a. DEUCEFROZE | Artist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Simeon Aston Covell Walker A.k.a. DEUCEFROZE and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Simeon Aston Covell Walker, we’d love to hear more about your end-goal, professionally.
The end goal is to get everyone to see the world the way it is and what it can be made to be. The more people that recognize the actual environment we are operating in the more progress can be made. This requires leaders, with a soul moving intention, to inspire others to aspire to be a part of something more than themself. My retirement from the work I do here ends when my life ends. So to answer where do I want to be professionally by the end of my career…I want the impact that I’ve made to be worth something that’s worth passing on to generations to come. I want to be where I am remembered.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
The lines are blurred to the outside world of what I can do. I am an artist. Andy Warhol famously stated, “Making money is art and working is art and good business is the best art.” That seems to be everyone’s quest but we aren’t necessarily taught it that way. Barbers are artists. Teaching is an art. The body is art. We literally have runway models that make walking itself an art. Me. I am an artist. You may see me doing something today that I wasn’t doing tomorrow. Not putting a box on yourself allows freedom to develop skills to do many things without feeling like I’m not capable of doing anything else. I am an artist everywhere I walk. You might have seen me on a runway. You might have seen me rapping on stage. You might have a painting of mine. I may have been your photographer. If you ever have spoken to me I will tell you I am an artist.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
For a week long trip I would say dallas has a lot of hot spots. Some cool coffee spots I would say Palmieri in Bishop Arts District. The Funny Library coffee shop in the Virgin hotel in downtown. One spot I find myself recommending for a fun night out is the LadyLove lounge in the Bishop Arts District. It’s one of the few spots people actually dance to the music. Like everybody’s dancing. A cool lil diner I like to eat at (and it’s 24 hours) is the Metro Diner on West Davis. They might have my top spot for best burger in the DFW right now. I always get the master burger. Delicioso. I am a burger connoisseur. Now another good spot that not only has a good burger but has great live music is The Freeman out in Deep Ellum. My favorite park in Dallas has gotta be Trinity Overlook Park. Even when the Trinity river is dry (which is often) the view is hard to turn away from. You could hit up all these places in a single day if you wanted to.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to shoutout my parents. My life-givers. My first examples of Love. My first examples of humanity. They provided a place of peace growing up. A gift that not everyone was or is given.
