We had the good fortune of connecting with Shon Robinson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Shon, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
The most important factor being my brand and what I do would have to be college. I survived a life threatening accident, my sophomore year which I broke 17 bones and was sidelined for a year.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I became a personal trainer to help people who had the mindset that they can’t. I faced a challenge of not being able to walk for a year and also having to use odd techniques to do everyday things because of all the injuries I suffered. I felt like it I could overcome this become a professional basketball player and elite trainer I could install this dedication and work etiquette in anyone.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
A week long trip with me would involve a lot of Gym and cardio. A lot of food im a very spontaneous person so it could never be planned. I like to ply pool, bowl, hangout at pools and def would have to go paint ball wars.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My brother Cedric, during all my troubles after the accident he pushed me to get my body back to be where I needed to be and helped guide me mentally
