We had the good fortune of connecting with Shianne Hogenson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Shianne, as a parent, what have you done for you children that you feel has had the most significant impact?
Let’s just say I am ONE LUCKY MOMMA. I have been blessed with the best of both worlds, and I know at times they drive me crazy, but I love them more than anything! My children are my reason and my why. I wake up each morning knowing that what I do that day, will determine the future I plan for my children. I want nothing but the best for them, and I want to make sure that with or without me, they’ll be taken care of. 💜 The most important thing that my husband & I have done for our children is letting them get involved in our day to day activities. Teaching them responsibilities & letting them be independent. I want them to grow up being confident & happy in who they are and not what the world sees them as. When I see them smile, and enjoying the simple things in life I know we’ve done our jobs as parents. Being a mother is the BEST, what else could I ask for?! I

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
We opened up Coyote Nutrition April of 2020, right when COVID hit. When the world shut down, and I was beyond afraid. I knew not to give up and I didn’t want to fail, so I gave it all I had. We had to adjust to the “new life” we were given, so we made it as fun as we possibly could. We were able to give back to the community which is my main focus! Giving back to those such as our schools, families & events is something I enjoy to do as person and as a small business. We were able to give our community a healthier option, by providing meal replacements, vitamins, a weight loss program among other things! I am a big family person, so being able to have families come in & even introducing our youth has the the most rewarding. A lesson we learned is to simply never give up. Always try to be your best, never settle buy keep striving for yourself and your business. Nothing is impossible.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
So many fun and cool places to see in this great town!!! Staying LOCAL, is important!

First I would have to take them to see Nikos at Lihoudies Greek Cuisine. Simply hands down the best family, and the best food.

For a great workout, there’s my sweet friend Trina! Talk about working up a sweat! She’s the best!

If they ever needed a laugh, Mr. Robert Drennan is the one to make you laugh! He’s a great time!

As a mom, a cheer coach, a business and having sports during the week, there’s never quite enough minutes in the day, but there always a minute to show my Friends what Anna has to offer 💜

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
There’s so many people that I honestly can not thank enough!!!

From my customers who have been NOTHING but family to me, to my employees who go above & beyond, I adore each and every one of them!!!

I’ve met some beautiful faces who also have the same dreams & goals & have been nothing BUT supportive of my business! I have so much love for these people, for showing me what it means to have a small business in a small town. BLESSED with their friendship and support.

Of course my family & friends who have stepped in to help, who have supported me from Day 1 & who have never given up on me! No matter how busy I’ve been, they have always been there. Okay I may cry now. 😭

But mostly my biggest shoutout goes to my sweet husband. Without him, there would be no Coyote Nutrition. When I say I have the best husband…I really really do. When I told him I wanted to quit teaching to open up my own business..he didn’t blink or hesitate, he simply just said I’ll be there. & he has done that if not more. He has supported me, listened to me vent, and then held my hand the entire way. He has never given up on me, even on the days he should have. 8 years, and so many more to go, but I know I wouldn’t want to do this thing called life with anyone else. He is my rock, my inspiration and my bestfriend. 💜
