Meet Shelley Tims Anbouba | Professional Organizer and Custom Home Space Planner

We had the good fortune of connecting with Shelley Tims Anbouba and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Shelley, do you have any habits that you feel contribute to your effectiveness?
Growing up I had a very strong role model in my dad. Looking back, I picked up from him at an early age his knack for connecting people. He was a strong connector, resource and was constantly surrounding himself with individuals from every aspect of his field. He also was personally engaged in each of these people – not just reaching out when he needed something; calling just to say hello, remembering an important occasion or celebrating a success.
I admired that in him and have always done the same. I make sure that my business is not transactional. I create a bond with my team and we create relationships. We are coming into our clients lives during so many major events and we are fully vested in making sure that we are the ones keeping it calm during the chaos!

What should our readers know about your business?
As the owner of NEAT Method Dallas-Highland Park we specialize in organizing, unpacking and downsizing luxury homes & offices. Being one of more than 80 franchises across the United States and Canada means that I always have a resource and our clients always have consistency. I also love that we do not “kiss and tell” regarding our cleints!
As a compliment to my existing thriving business I recently founded and launched, Organization Studio. I saw a need for custom space design services for remodels and new builds. No more should anyone walk into a space and say “I wish I had done”, with Organization Studio you can. It was a business that organically came into existence; however, I don’t think I would have taken the risk had I not had the professional experiences I did and kept up with the connections I had made over my many years as a professional.
It hasn’t always been easy; but I have been so fortunate to have had amazing mentors that helped me become the leader and person I am today. As a female leader I feel that every day you have to work to change the notion that there is only “one way to be” to be successful and deserving to be heard. A woman can be a leader in her own right, according to who she is. Know who you are and shine your light unto the world.
During extensive travels with my parents, I developed an eye for identifying the one thing that made our lodging unique or functioning well. That trait has served me well in my businesses. I also am fortunate to have a brain that adapts to it’s left and right sides equally so I try to take full advantage of the creative days balanced with the project management planning days! To design a space and then organize and see a client’s treasures highlighted in a way that is not only functional but beautiful is such a privilege. I am continually inspired by my clients and the incredible partners I collaborate with.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I am a Dallas native and am always so excited to show off the city as it has grown and evolved into such a dynamic place! A first stop after an airport pick up would have to be Mi Cocina in Highland Park Village for a Mambo and TexMex. Saturday wouldn’t be complete without a walk on the Katy Trail that ended up in downtown with a stroll thru Klyde Warren Park or one of the amazing museums in the arts district. Saturday night dinner would be at Mercury Grill followed by drinks at the Mansion Bar on Turtle Creek. And of course since this all happens in the fall Sunday would involve a bloody mary before heading out to AT&T Stadium to watch America’s team! Football is back ya know! Cheers to 2021!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
