We had the good fortune of connecting with Shawn-Auston Johnson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Shawn-Auston, what do you attribute your success to?
The most important factor behind success is people. Your network determines your net-worth. The more hands I have shaken and people I have gotten to know is what has increased my success and my growth. I’m in the business of people. There will always be a person wanting to capture a moment in time and the only way I’d be blessed to be selected to do so is based on the hands shook.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
One of my favorite go to spots is, Public School 214 in Uptown. It has a nice breakfast menu and not too heavy on the calories if you watch out for those. For lunch and some sports fun I have to go up north to Legacy Food Hall or if you want to stay in the city, Klyde Warren Park. The food trucks out there are fire as well as they always have events going on and a nice scenery just to be around.

Since shooting a lot of natural light photography outside, I have grown accustom to outdoor nature parks and trails. One of my favorite is Arbor Hills Nature Park. It’s a nice spot for a date or family picnic near the creek or a good hiking trail for exercise .

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
There is a lot of influence that has helped me within my growth. More so I thank, my business partners within another venture through Amway, that have showed me how to run a business. They showed me how to truly connect with people as well as introduced me to array of literature, such as “Think and grow rich’ by Napoleon Hill or “The Go Giver” by and “What to say when you talk to yourself.” Through these I have been able to manifest and speak on good fortune in my life and business, as well as speak and do for others.
