We had the good fortune of connecting with Shasity Torres and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Shasity, how does your business help the community?
Chiropractic allows our community to MOVE pain free! They are able to work and play with their children/pets/loved ones without any limitations.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
We are a minority-owned business, meaning we understand the struggles a lot of people face in our community. One of those being, not having health insurance. We run a cash-based practice, where we can offer our community quality healthcare at an affordable price.
Opening our practice was NOT easy by any means. We had a lot of banks deny us a loan, landlords turned us down, and we had to open during a Pandemic.
A lesson we learned along the way was to not let stress take over. Life has a lot of obstacles so stop worrying about the things you cannot control.
RISE was built on a dream for families and individuals to reach their fullest potential through natural, holistic healthcare.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
We would take them out to eat to Ramen Akira Izakaya, Manna Korean BBQ, Saigon Block, Tacolicious, and Kirin Court. We would take them out for drinks at Mr. Wish and 7 Leaves.
An awesome dessert place we would take them to is Andy’s Frozen Custard & 85 degrees bakery.
We would hang out/visit Summit Climbing Gyms, Kumbala Dance Studio, Cedar Ridge Preserve, Arbor Hills Preserve, and Dallas Farmers Market.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Dr. Richard & I would LOVE to give a Shoutout to our families! Without their love and support, Rise Family Chiropractic would not have been possible.
