We had the good fortune of connecting with Sharron Gregg and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Sharron, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I have a daughter and 2 grandsons. I wanted to establish something that,in the event that they wanted to get involved in the arts, they wouldn’t have ask for a seat at someone else’s table.I would build one for them. I was very intentional in the fact that I would eventually be leaving them something that would always remind them of me and still allow for creativity.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Two and a half years ago,I needed a way to destress. I decided that I needed to do something that would make me focus.I thought”well, painting would make me focus so why not try it?”I had never painted or drawn before so I knew that it was spirit guided.I have always dreamt colors and shapes but never knew what it meant or understood it.I then started to notice the dreams repeatedly. I figured out that by the 3rd time,I dreamt it,I should paint it. I also noticed that if I didn’t paint it,I continued to dream it until I did paint it. I also suffer with migraine headaches. So I thought, ok, I’m going to try to paint them as I’m coming out of them. Because I have migraines with aura,I get the nausea, vomiting, sensitivity to light, smells and sound. Once the migraine passes,I look at the painting.I don’t know if there is anyone else that does this ,but I do it! Yes, it’s painful, but the art that comes out of that pain is amazing and beautiful! In January of 2023, I found out that I had Breast Cancer. It was diagnosed early and I am on medication and Cancer free!I always take some small 2×2 mini easel paintings with me to different events.I give them away to people that as we are talking,I discover they either had or know someone with Breast Cancer. Its my way of showing them that they aren’t alone in that challenging time.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would take my bestie to Velvet Taco in Fort Worth the first day,I don’t drink but I would take her to Mariano’s Hacienda Ranch in Arlington, because the Margaritas are delicious(from past experience)!I would also take her to FortWorth’s Museum District. The museums are top notch!!I would also take her to my favorite store,Creatively Beaut Goods in Fort Worth! They have the best vintage items, great customer service and the vibe is wonderful! I also would take her to The Body Scrubbery in Fort Worth for a spa treatment! I would also take her to some of the local poetry events to experience the talent in the metroplex!
