We had the good fortune of connecting with Sharla and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Sharla, what inspires you?
My past, doubt, life it self. Inspiration is around me constantly.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I’m so excited about my new music coming out,. “You Thought” remix featuring Triple D Ice B coming soon to a music platform to you. Also excited abt this upcycled clothing line I’ve been working on. “For The Crazies” coming soon. Im very proud of my pieces and I hope people like them.

I’ve been singing my whole life. Played many instruments as well. I attended Texas Wesleyan University in Fort Worth,Texas. Go rams! 😁🐏. Went for vocal performance-I thought I wanted to sing opera or do broadway initially.
My mother and grandmother taught me to sew when I was a child but I picked it back up in 2004-2005.

It hasn’t been easy but it hasn’t been hard either. I overcome challenges w meditation and intentions. I throw the thought out and it comes back so. The most challenging thing for me had been learning to not getting discouraged. What’s for me is for me.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would never do an itinerary. It would all be on a whim; on the go.

I Love W 7th street! I’d probably take them to an Escape room, Gloria’s, Capital Grille, King spa out in Dallas or Spa castle in Carrollton. Pops safari lounge or the cigar bar on Hulen, Blue Sushi has the best happy hr. , Eddie V’s, Press Cafe. Thrifting- I love the goodwill on berry. So much to do depends on the person.
