We had the good fortune of connecting with Shampaigne Graves and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Shampaigne, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
The most important factor behind the success of Bold Babes Co has been collaboration. One woman cannot build and sustain a business with just $20, but a collective of women can pool their resources to grow a grassroots community that helps all millennial launch and grow their own businesses. We will be in business for 3 years as of July 2021 and collaboration has not only been the number one factor of the success of Bold Babes Co but it is also a key pillar in the operations of the business.

What should our readers know about your business?
After just an initial $20 investment, Bold Babes Co was launched in July 2018 with the grassroots community support of hundreds of millennial women in business. Bold Babes Co creates digital resources for cash-strapped women building online businesses. In short this means that we provide education courses that teach women how to run their business, tools that help them build out the elements of their business, and a community to help guide them throughout the journey of owning their business. The most exciting and different aspect of the bold babes community is the holistic approach we take on creating products and services for our bold babes. We understand that there’s no one size fits all formula for a woman’s success and our organization was created to find the individual solution for each woman who comes to Bold Babes Co looking to launch and grow her business.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Bishop arts has to be my favorite spot in the city of Dallas. There’s no other part of the city that feels as original as this part of the city does. The first stop on the tour of Bishop Arts would start at Nova for happy hour drinks. My personal favorite is the Nova 75 a bubbly spin on a classic cosmo. From there we would do some shopping on Bishop, DLM and Talking out of Turn are some great local shops that I love to get really unique pieces from. We would then grab some dinner at Paradiso followed by after dinner dessert at Melts Icecream.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
One of the most influential women in my journey as an entrepreneur as well as a huge supporter of Bold Babes Co is Barbara Delacruz of Delacruz and Associates. Barbara was my first executive coach who partnered with me to create my identify as a leader. I wouldn’t be able to be open to the current opportunities I have in business without her mentorship.
