We had the good fortune of connecting with Shahmeer Mirza and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Shahmeer, can you share the most important lesson you’ve learned over the course of your career?
The importance of completing something the right way opposed to what is considered to be the “easy way”, for example each reference was done by hand to ensure that the correct creators were credited, within the right format, within the correct legal manner. If we had taken the easy route which would have been the reliance on AI to write citations, we would have most likely approached legal issues, a lack of quality control, and most of all not had gained any experience on the subject at all… Additionally this involved doing a massive amount of research, theoretically it would have been easier to rely on AI to gather information, companies, analyze it for us, and for us to essentially just be the human resource which puts it together as a manuscript; however we believe that it would have lacked in quality, and the human concept of inutition and fundemental analysis… This doesn’t mean not doing things intuitively however, there are cases where we cross referenced our sources using AI, generated legal content, but we used it as an assistant rather than a lead member… Doing things the right way is never the easiest, but it shows you ways and methods that would have been undiscovered if you’d taken the easy route.
What should our readers know about your business?
We are most proud about our success within integrating our book within Denton cirriculum, as well as its impact on our local communities, as multiple books have been distrubuted to fellow students, and aspiring younger students. We are excited to help both young and older audiences begin investing into companies they believe in, ones which make a change, and ones which they can confidently invest into with no ethical dilemma. It took us a great deal of effort to get where we are today, first we had to generate ideas for a manuscript, then do months of research on our chosen topics, after we were confident we began drafting, then went onto adding images which we had to ensure fell under correct copyright laws, and finally we had to edit, add references, link the references, and format it for paperback. Which then we also had to make a respective cover for, which means everything we did was from scratch with no external help. It was an extremely hard process, as we ourselves are new to the industry and craft, so it was a process which we had to learn along the way. We overcame these challenges though through immense perserverence and dedication to our book, we believed that this book was a testament to our learning experience and that it was an ultimate test of diligence and skill. We had learned that more than anything, you must do things the right way, no matter how frustrating it gets, no matter how easy the other options are, it is far better to go through the right way rather than the easy way because of how much you learn skill wise and experience wise. This is a story of chosing to do the right thing rather than whats the easy thing, it’s easy to invest into gray companies which hold little to no regard to the environment, social aspects, and the government, and further allow them exploit for profits, but the right thing is to instead choose companies which believe in changing the world in the right way, and this book allows you to both secure your financial future as well as the future of the world.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Living in Allen for my whole life I would most likely start with places where I spent my childhood at, I would show them Rocketship Park, a beautiful park, which then has an extensive trail which lasts for miles and seems to stretch across Allen itself. Allen has some serene locations, for example near cottonwood creek there is a nearly untouched area which is quiet and peaceful, which is a break from the suburban areas surrounding it. Additionally if there was time I would take them to see the railroads near stationpark/cotton wood creek, which are a testament to Allen’s rich history rooted in it being a railroad city. After that much walking however we could enjoy the vast diverse food options Allen has to offer, for example an italian breakfast cafe named Mio Nono had held a special place within my heart, their handcrafted italian food allows you to taste the culture itself. As well as this various other restaraunts such as “A Bite of Lao and Thai”, as well as a childhood favorite of mine “Yummies” a multicultural desi based restaraunt would be on the top of the list for food… However it’s the people who make Allen really a city, the people who run these businesses, our neighbors, and our mentors, as well as the police officers and public servants who keep Allen safe.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?

Ultimately, I hope that by imparting the lessons I’ve learned along my startup’s journey and the intersection between chemistry, computer science, and entrepreneurship, this book could help inspire entrepreneurs to immerse themselves in the field of green entrepreneurship to hopefully turn our world from gray to green”.
Shahmeer Nadeem Mirza: “I would like to thank Zaryab Kanjiani and Aditya Nallaparaju as my fellow co-authors, as well as my parents and siblings.
