We had the good fortune of connecting with Serenity “Stephanie” Guerrero and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Serenity “Stephanie”, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
We Spent so much time placing passion & energy into another’s vision. I wanted to bring my own vision to life. I similar to many have suffered much hardship, From a Troubled teen, Teenage Motherhood, to Physical, Mental, Emotional, Sexual and Financial Abuse. Part of bringing my vision to life was to share everything I have learned about rising from the ashes, With Vision, Purpose & Passion
I always wanted to teach, though I never saw myself teaching school education. Teaching others how to simplify & balance in life is now my passion. Many measure success in finances. I measure my success in watching others around go from Gloom to Bloom. That makes my heart happy & I know This journey is all worth it to see ones faith restored. The world need more Love & More Kindness

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I initially began my journey with Tarot as a divination to help me break down my own challenges, and fears. As I began to Dive deeper into my studies, I noticed I had many gifts within that I was not utilizing. Were all gifted with something, we spend so much time searching outside to find the very thing in life we seek is already within us, and seeks us. So what do we do rather than seek, We CREATE!! I believe it is so important in life to always be in process of creating something anything, have intention behind it, have a purpose. Even if the purpose is just to enjoy.

I am similar to many as far as trauma, what sets me apart is my ability to always get back up, and each time with a larger perspective sometimes a newer one.
I never judge 1 as people have free will to choose and we are all on a journey.

As I began to help others through my tarot readings, other doors began to open. I started a small clothing shop online as a way to share personal art work with many, as well as I began creating jewelry pieces. I am currently in search of a jeweler to work with as Id like to create a line. Currently I am creating my pieces from different Crystals, Gemstones & various metals. My online store carries items made by me or someone I know.. All Items have been handpicked by me. I love that my store isn’t commercial based. All my candles are made local , & 100% beeswax. I dress my own candles as well as spent time & pray over every item before it leaves my shop. I love that everything in my shop has my personal attention.

I didn’t have the support from many but I knew I didn’t need validation. Seeking validation for our decisions will have us discussing it all day with no action. Is it easy no, but if it was all handed over it wouldn’t be as appreciated. Some of my family and even my children did not encourage me. Took my children a little while to come around. They do see and the do acknowledge now that they too can see my vision. I never gave up. I had some small fears, I prayed over them and continued on my path. The healing I& work I have put in is now trickling unto my children and loved ones around me. Its all worth it. To see women & men inspired to go after their dreams is truly amazing and what a blessing I get to be part of the process. I spent the last 14 years placing energy into someone else’s Vision. Now I am creating mine. work through the fears. We can accomplishing anything if you just believe in you!

My Family is extended, I am also a Vice President of a Dallas Women’s Social Club. Our Club is called Dem Rare Diamonds. As we are definitely Diamonds. I have been a part of this club for 4 years. Its a huge part of my life as woman we are empowering each other. Together we are learning, Thriving and Living!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
After a long week, Lets go the Museum, then we will see the water gardens as its one of my fav spots to relax. I love the sound of water, and the calmness it brings. We def will hit up Hurtado’s BBQ in Arlington for lunch. By dinner we will hit my fav dive spot Mac’s Tavern where everybody knows your name, an elder is singing to the karaoke. If you listen to the elders sing you can hear the travels of the personal journey. What a Journey life is, a beautiful one if we allow it to be. Beauty is definitely in the eye of the beholder. Its all I see. Life, Presence is a Present. a Great Gift.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to give a Shoutout to my Mother, & my Grandmother for they’re every day prayers, love and encouragement. The Example of strength and Faith has brought me to this very moment.

Shoutout to everyone I have crossed paths with! Even those who didn’t show me kindness gave me a great lesson!
All my pains & tears molded me into the very woman I am. I don’t have any past regrets!! Than you!
To understand one’s journey one must walk 2 weeks in another’s shoes, The pains of the past were necessary shape me!!
