We had the good fortune of connecting with Sed Bezzy and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Sed, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Hi I am Sed B, owner of (Sed B Hair) & (Vibrant Beauty Aesthetics) Starting a business can be terrifying. Weighing the pros and cons, the risks, and other considerations can be so overwhelming that often promising entrepreneurs stop before they even start. Starting a business is a commitment and requires dedication, resources and sacrifice. I’ve always been an entrepreneur and owning my own business was always a dream of mine. Honestly, I’m going to pretty blunt with my answer. I didn’t feel secure in any 9-5 job that I was in. Natural hair has always been a passion of mine. I grew up in a salon & a lot of my family members are entrepreneurs. A lot of planning went into building my brand, I finally realized this year 2020 that self investment is the biggest thing when starting your own business.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Things that set me apart from other are Possessing Empathy, Self-Awareness, Having Integrity and Being a Person of my Word. I am so excited for what I have learned mostly about myself this year. I am also excited about the time and awareness I have invested into myself this year. I got to this point of my life with hard work and dedication. Now don’t get me wrong I’ve had many losses but those losses turn into lessons. Those things taught me that the more I pour into Sed B, the more I can give to VIBA – Vibrant Beauty Aesthetics.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Well if I had it my way I would fly my bestie to Atlanta for Gocha’s Breakfast Bar then fly back. But if I had to hang out here in Dallas TX, I would take them to the deep ellum area. During the night & even in CO-VID this area seems to be keeping up with the parties. I’m always down for a Waffle House visit in the Dallas night’s.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Of course there are two people that I feel gave me the push that I need to move forward in life. I would first like to give a HUGH shout out to my mother, she is the light to my darkness. My mother has always been my number supporter in anything that I’ve wanted to know. As a young star I use to think I would be a singer (even though I can’t sing) she supported everything I wanted to do. My other biggest support is my mentor, he has given me tools & guidance to be successful in my own world. Always pushing me to be greater than I was yesterday as well as investing in myself.
