We had the good fortune of connecting with Sara Tynan and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Sara, every day, we about how much execution matters, but we think ideas matter as well. How did you come up with the idea for your business?
Self Transformation. It began with me. I healed from a bipolar and insomnia diagnosis. I used tools such as breath work, meditation and affirmations. Years later when yoga teaching “fell into my lap” it felt like all the puzzle pieces were coming together and I created a brand that reflected my healing journey SO THAT I could help others. I also ended up writing about that journey and titled the book: So That. This book has become a huge part of my brand as well. Putting all the “tools” together I now have Sara Nicole Yoga. My business has a variety of services but my main focus this year is my yoga classes and my book. I want to use those outlets to help other’s mental health.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My business is unique in many ways. It is also a ministry. I use my brand to help others heal emotional struggles and solve mental blocks. My brand is unique because I combine multiple skill sets and offerings to help people through a variety of obstacles. I’ve taken many courses and trainings to be able to offer such variety. The pandemic definitely put a major halt in bringing income home but I used that time to focus on education! I’ve learned how to manage my time better because of that. I am trying to use my brand to spread peace in many ways. World peace is my ultimate goal and together we can get there by working on mindfulness and positivity!
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would definitely take my girl, Jess to one of my amazing yoga classes at the wellness center where I work. After class we would stay for an infrared sauna session then head to Frescoes for margaritas and queso. Next door is MeccaFox where we would shop for accessories then head over to Pink Chandelier Boutique for the cutest dresses. Dessert would be at the Margarita Factory where they have the most amazing açaí bowls. I love my town and all the people in it. Burleson is known for the community that feels like family. We are all about small business support.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Lisa Flynn who owns C3cryoclub, where I host my yoga classes and workshops & Chad and Amber Benson, the pastors at LifeGate church who helped my book writing journey begin. These leaders have paved the way for Sara Nicole Yoga and helped me with so much clarity for my business and ministry.
