We had the good fortune of connecting with Sanjay Biswas and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Sanjay, how do you think about risk?
When I graduated from law school in 1997 I decided to go out on my own. I knew this was risky but I got a part-time job as a tutor and that paid for rent of $300 a month. I took all the public defender’s cases for free and was very successful. I’ve always been a solo attorney since then. My family had a choice to move to Dallas four years ago and I said let’s go. I will survive. I now have a thriving dwi and ceiminal law practice. I believe taking risks is jot a problem if you work hard.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I have been practicing for 24 years and a really good attorney is an attorney who cares. I put my clients’ interest first. I’m not afraid to go to trial and fight for my clients. I also know kore about dwi law than most attorneys. I have learned that all clients must be given the best defense.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I believe Nick and Sam’s for a nice steak dinner along with a Rangers baseball game would be things I would take a guest to here in Dallas. I also think the aquarium is excellent.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I owe a lot of my success to Deandra Grant who is a prominent criminal defense attorney in Dallas. She has been a mentor to my and encouraged me to take a four week course in Chicago to learn about blood testing for dwi’s.
