We had the good fortune of connecting with Sangita Datta and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Sangita, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I came from a service oriented family background, knew nothing of business but then life tells you otherwise- I was taking care of my 2 boys and my schedule had to revolve around their routine and school which made it difficult for me to do justice to any office role .I came across my “guiding angel”who offered me something that was flexible and served my need at the time I needed most.Following my need and focus I got trained and achieved my licenses in finance to get into the role as a financial professional .That was the start of my Business owner journey.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Success is Built with Hard Work, Focus, and a Positive Mindset

Nothing great is built overnight—it takes dedication, resilience, and a positive attitude to move forward. My greatest strength has always been my optimistic outlook and eagerness to learn. Looking back on my journey, I realize that my success is deeply rooted in focus, hard work, and a genuine passion for helping others with authenticity and sincerity.

When I stepped into my role as a financial specialist, I knew one thing—I had to stay focused, work tirelessly, and remain disciplined because I had a family to support and bills to pay. Long hours and unwavering commitment became my routine, but I never chased the prize—instead, I focused on what truly mattered: people, their needs, and being there when they needed me the most.

My business has always been family and community-centric. I believe in educating and empowering people by providing them with the right tools for financial independence, which is the foundation of stability and happiness. Success, for me, has never been about numbers—it has always been about impact, trust, and making a difference in people’s lives.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?

Life is Always Better with Great People

I have been truly blessed to be surrounded by incredible people who have shaped my journey in profound ways.

Growing up in Kolkata, India, in the backyard of Mother Teresa, I learned the power of compassion and volunteering early on. My parents instilled in me the values of giving selflessly, helping without expectation, and sharing even the smallest of blessings, knowing that goodwill always comes full circle. They encouraged me to embrace freedom of speech and thought, which became the foundation of my journey.

As a legal immigrant, I arrived in the U.S. in 2012, working small jobs to make ends meet. During this time, I found true strength in community service. While volunteering in Plainsboro, I met Lauren Skowronski, a compassionate leader who supported me through difficult times and showed me the power of a strong community.

Then came my guiding angel, Thevan Theivakumar, who opened doors to a successful career path that I might never have discovered on my own. Of course, hard work and perseverance played a huge role, but his support and guidance gave me the opportunity to thrive.

In 2018, I moved to Frisco, and once again, I was fortunate to meet another amazing servant leader, Kevin Westerfield, who introduced me to the Frisco Chamber of Commerce. That introduction was a game-changer—it connected me with a network of like-minded individuals, uplifting mentors, and a family of unwavering support.

Today, I stand here grateful beyond words, not just for my successes but for the relationships I have built. This community is my family, my strength, and my home. I am truly blessed because of the people who have walked alongside me on this journey. ❤️
