Samantha, always such a pleasure connecting with you and thank you for sharing your stories, insights and inspiring messages with our community. We’re looking forward to getting the download and what you have been up to since our last interview, but first can you briefly introduce yourself to folks who might have missed the prior conversation.
Hi, my name is Samantha and I am the owner of The Beauty Mark RN and now co-owner of Serene Beauty & Aesthetics. I quickly outgrew my room rental and decided to partner up with a colleague of mine to open up a 2500 square foot medical spa combined hair salon. You can pretty much get all of your beauty services done under one roof. I am a nurse injector who has been practicing for 12 years now. I never pictured I would be where I am today but I don’t regret how I got here. I love helping others feel more confident in the skin they are in. I now have 10 entrepreneurial women working under one roof to help uplift each other and make it a fun place to work. We really have the best team and best time working together.

Great, so let’s jump into an update on what you have been up to since we last spoke. What can you share with us?
I can say a lot has changed since we last chatted. I didn’t plan to open up a brick and mortar especially after having my first child. I really did not want the added extra stress but I couldn’t have done it without my business partner Alexa. She’s the polar opposite to me and I think that’s why we get along so well. I would say there were some bumps along the way but Serene Beauty & Aesthetics is thriving. Our main goal was to make it a safe place for women to work and for our clients. We want everyone to feel like family here. I feel like we definitely accomplished that. All of the staff is open to helping one another and the occasional funny tik tok/instagram videos for content. One thing I’m most excited about is expanding our team and bringing on more services to best serve our clientele base.

What do you want people to remember about you and your brand? What are some of things that you feel are most important, unique, special, etc?
I want people to remember my authenticity. I say it how it is. I am not for everyone and I am okay with that. I am very outgoing once you get to know me and I rarely can keep my thoughts to myself. So you always get 100% of me. My clients know that I always have their best interest in mind and that I would never recommend a service that I truly don’t believe they need. It is never about the money for me. They know they can be open and honest with me like I am with them. At the end of the day I always want my clients to be happy with their results. Thats all that matters.
