We had the good fortune of connecting with Rubi Rox and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Rubi, any advice for those thinking about whether to keep going or to give up?
Everything in life is about making decisions, I think that starting from there, the most important thing will always be to decide from what really makes us feel complete and happy, that way when those moments come, because they will always come, in which we want to give up, because we are tired, there is where we remember that we are doing it because it is what we are passionate about in life, it is our driving force, and that is how we know that it is better to continue because we have already come far enough to stop now.

I am a person who applauds myself for every step I take, from the smallest to the one I can consider the biggest, I am a very perfectionist, it is something good and bad at the same time, it is good because it pushes you to always give your best but It’s bad because it doesn’t allow you to give yourself credit like you should sometimes, I think that’s exactly what has led me to where I am right now, that desire to do things with quality and for the people to have the best of me.
No, it has not been easy, it is not easy, and that is what makes me feel most proud, things when they are easy are not valued enough, I have suffered setbacks, I have made many mistakes, being away from the family chasing your dreams, it hurts, all of that hurts, but it prepares you, makes you strong and gives you much more vision and in my case also letters to express myself and make people feel identified.
I recharge alone, with myself, praying, also sharing with the people I love, listening to music, that’s how I recharge and overcome each challenge.
I wouldn’t want to get lost in the superficial aspects of the networks or the most trending things and for the world to really know me as I am and to be able to inspire, to inspire them to move forward, to start from scratch without fear and for them to understand that everything always has a solution.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Well, I live in Miami but I am Dominican, so taking into account that it will be a week…Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday we would be in the Dominican Republic, eating typical food from my country, rice, beans, stewed chicken and tostones, then …We are going to Punta Cana to enjoy the beaches, after 4 days of pure Dominican flavor we come to Miami and spend the rest of the week enjoying Miami Beach, drinking Cuban colada and walking through the Miami Art District to see which artist or actor we could find, heheh!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My shoutout goes to God, my guide and who has made everything I have achieved in my life possible, my family who has always supported me in every adventure and decision I make in my life, also my husband, who supports me, He pushes me to continue when maybe I don’t feel 100%, he is the one who reminds me of my goals and inspires me to continue, and there is also my manager, guiding me, supporting me, helping me to observe the opportunities and make this project go in the best possible way.
