We had the good fortune of connecting with Ruben & Megan Melendez and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ruben & Megan, have there been any changes in how you think about work-life balance?
Work life balance for us changed completely when we started pursuing our dreams and making them a reality. Working towards these goals during our spare time & weekends never felt like a punishment or that we were missing out on something. We both felt the shift in attitude & energy when it came to giving this 100% of our effort. We started loving our work and because of that, everything in our lives started feeling more balanced & filled with purpose that neither of us had known before!

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
We are so excited to launch our first Girls Night Out events! The idea is to offer various creative skills classes/activities for the women of Northeast Texas right here in Greenville, TX! We want to create a warm & welcoming atmosphere where you can learn a unique skill & enjoy making memories with your girls! We want to be more than just a mobile bar & mobile photo booth company. We want to start honoring the “events” part of our name!

Sometimes you forget how difficult & winding a road is until you’re at your destination looking back. When looking back you realize, “WOW that was miserable! How in the world did I make it here?!” And that basically sums up the blinders we put on to make it here. We had to have blind faith in one another to not give up when the other was tired. Leaning on each other is how we’ve always operated as a couple.

Our brand simplified is us creating what we like & sharing it with others. We’ve never tried to force ourselves into one specific box and I think that makes us limitless on where we’ll end up!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
We recently went to downtown Ben Wheeler and talk about a hidden gem! Live music, delicious wine, artisan coffee & such an interesting mix of people in this random town.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
We’d like to dedicate our shoutout to our sisters, Priscilla & Morgan, & Jake our brother in law. They’ve all contributed so much support, website/social media content, ideas, LOVE & belief for not only this venture but everything we do in life. They’ve always encouraged & supported us to pursue the unknown or difficult path. Cheers to our biggest fans! We love y’all!
