We had the good fortune of connecting with Roy Wragth and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Roy, what do you attribute your success to?
The most important factor behind my success/ brand success falls upon three words. Action, Belief, Consistency. I learned these terms in my 365Driven Society. A community where entrepreneurs support and help each other in both personal and professional aspects of life. In terms of of the three words, they can be further broken down as follows. Take action, believe in yourself and your vision, and remain consistent no matter what. For me sticking to those three words have allowed me to maintain a clear mind and work around any challenge that may arise. Not only has it helped me personally, but my brand has seen growth and impact from it as well. A couple takeaways here; in order for you to move forward, you must take action. You don’t necessarily need to have all the answers, you just need to have an understanding and take action. Next we have belief. If you are not 100% focused on your vision and believe in yourself, you will never succeed. This is a long road with bumps and dips along the way, by no means is it an easy one to navigate, however, believing in yourself will allow you to push past anything life throws your way and move forward. Lastly we have consistency. We need to be consistent in the actions we take daily, weekly, monthly etc. Things don’t happen overnight so remaining consistent is key. It’s the equivalent of brushing your teeth every morning or watering the plants. If you remain consistent, your teeth will be clean and healthy and your plants will grow. Same concept.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
My business name is Wragth Motorsports, an automotive shop for late model performance cars, jeeps, and trucks. I find the most excitement being able to help our customers achieve happiness through cars. Most of my customers work hard and just want a nice weekend or be able to go out on a drive to enjoy some fresh air. They may be having a bad day, rough week, or other battles they are dealing with. Regardless of the cause, being able to give them a car, truck or jeep that will help them battle their demons is rewarding for me. As a combat veteran with a few tours under my belt, I miss having peers that you can count on to have you back and be there for you when you need it most. It was always a two way street. Being able to develop plans and execute automotive builds provide that same sense of fulfillment as I don’t know what each individual may be facing. However, I do know the sense of enjoyment cars provide and how they can provide an outlet or therapeutic resource to help them work through their challenges. To some it’s just a car, but to others it’s way more. I cannot tell you how many customers have mentioned how cars allowed them to work through mental challenges which ended up saving their marriages, preventing hurt or harm, and overall a positive mindset. Those are my Why’s.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If I had a best friend coming over I would definitely check out the local race tracks. Texas Motorplex, XRP, Eagles Canyon, etc. Next I would invite them to check out the sights of Downtown Dallas, and finally make their way toward Ennis to eat at Blue Bonnet BBQ and close out with a night out in Downtown Waxahachie.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to dedicate the post to the 365 Driven Society, The book Side hustle Millionaire by Tony Whatley and my good friend Ryne Cunningham. The 365Driven Society for giving me the support, motivation and camaraderie that allow both business, professional and personal growth. The book Side hustle millionaire for listing the action items in a step-by -step form and helping me shift my mindset. My good friend Ryne Cunningham for motivating and helping me get my motorsports business off the ground. Today I continue to pay it forward with the values, principles and lessons learned from these resources. I find myself coaching and mentoring individuals that look at me as a role model or seek out for guidance. It is both rewarding and impactful it promotes personal and professional growth. These achievements allow me to put my best foot forward everyday and provide my customers with the best possible service we are able to provide day in and day out.
