We had the good fortune of connecting with Rosa Fernandez and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Rosa, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
The main thought process behind starting my business was celebration. I have always loved to make people feel happy, special, and loved on there special days. My family has always loved to celebrate every and all milestones. We love the way it makes us come together and just enjoy each other’s company. I love to go the extra mile for parties and any really any excuse to make my surrounding pretty.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
While I have a worked my full time job with Richardson ISD for 18 years in the health department I have always done little creative jobs and catering , growing my business organically since my first child was born, 3o years ago. At that time my husband and I decided that I would be a stay at home mom and contribute to our household that way. Along the way it was not easy and 3 kids later it became more important to keep customers and constantly changing my business to become a jack of all trades. We do catering, party styling, desserts , events , and more.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I love to eat brunch at St. Ann’s in Dallas with my family. Another great spot that we like to eat in the evenings is Saint Rocco’s New York Italian at Trinity Groves. Any other time you will find me shopping with my daughter for our next event. We love shopping in downtown Rockwall and don’t like to miss first Monday in canton.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My family are my biggest supporters. My daughter , Samantha, is my right hand and very creative. She has some great ideas and we work very well together. My husband, Leon, also is so creative and he helps with all my digital art work and signage. He is great at making mine and my daughters visions come to life. Without them I wouldn’t be able to execute half of the events I have.
