We had the good fortune of connecting with Rori Mitchell and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Rori, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
My thought process with starting my own business is I wanted to show my son we need to invest in ourselves. Invest in yourself and put just as much work in your company that you put into the bigger companies.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I am a travel advisor. I specialize in group and international travel. What sets me apart is I try to get to know my client so that I can plan a trip that fits their individual needs. I love to travel myself to see the different places that I want to book for my clients. A lot of travel agents right now don’t travel or personally know the places they just book the trip. That is not the experience that is offered with me. I want to remain personable when helping my clients.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If I had a friend visiting the city I would tell them to book their room at the Anatole Hotel so that we can visit the water park if it is nice weather. I would take them to eat at my favorite Korean bbq place in Plano Seapot. If we are getting out for night life definitely visit Sandaga. We would do Sunday funday by going to brunch at Common Table in Frisco and then to Lava Cantina Day party.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My support has always came from my family. My shoutout will always go to my family because they uplift me and support me no matter what.
