Meet Rome Lima-Stanley | Principal and Lead Interior Design

We had the good fortune of connecting with Rome Lima-Stanley and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Rome, how does your business help the community?
At Avesso Studio, we believe great design is a form of care. We help high-performing individuals create beautiful, wellness-centered environments that reduce stress and support emotional well-being.
Our holistic approach promotes healthier, more intentional living and we extend that impact by working with local artisans and choosing sustainable, low-toxicity materials whenever possible. By improving the way people feel in their homes, we help them show up better in the world.

What should our readers know about your business?
Avesso Studio is a Dallas-based interior and landscape design firm focused on creating luxury spaces that elevate well-being. We serve high-performing clients, often business owners, executives, and professionals, who are overwhelmed by stress and craving calm, intentional environments. What sets us apart is our holistic design approach: every decision we make is grounded in how a space will feel, not just how it will look.
We’re proud to help clients transform their homes into personal sanctuaries spaces that restore, ground, and support a high-quality life.
Getting here hasn’t been easy. Like many small businesses, we’ve navigated growth, uncertainty, and the ever-changing demands of the market. The biggest challenge has been staying true to our vision while building a business that’s sustainable and profitable. What helped us overcome that was clarity: knowing who we serve, how we serve them, and why it matters.
The biggest lesson we’ve learned is that when your work is rooted in purpose, the right clients find you. We don’t just design beautiful homes, we create spaces that change how people feel in their daily lives. That’s what we want the world to know about Avesso: we design for well-being, and that changes everything.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
We love Dallas when it comes to food and drinks. For sure we would go to Bishop Arts and Lower Greenville for drinks, food and vintage shopping. Manhattan Project are great for beers and appetizers. Also, we would bring them to the Arts District and Design District for vintage shopping. Pecan Lodge at Deep Ellum is a classic.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I do have many people to be thankful for, and they know who they are. One organization that really helped us to be where we are was the National Association of Remodeling Industry, Interior Design Society and The American Institute of Architects. They are well known organizations that helps elevate our business. In terms of books: Traction by Gino Wickman, The Big Leap by Gay Hendricks, and The Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle are those one to read at least once a year.
