We had the good fortune of connecting with Robert Franco and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Robert, we’d love to hear what makes you happy.
Building a company who can provide for others is what makes me happy. Not only to the customers we sell to, but also my employees who are making a career out of it. We are growing everyday and I want to grow together with them to see them live the lives they want and the opportunity to strive and succeed in work and in life.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I started off as just a solo craftsman, learning as I go. Over the last 8 years I have grown to have 5 employees and a 5000 sq ft. manufacturing warehouse. Everyday we are designing and coming up with new ways to try and set ourselves apart from the rest. It’s been a long road, but now with my crew joining me it makes things a lot easier. The most important thing in growing is making connections with people. Whether its from someone who sells materials we use, to salesmen for manufacturing machines, to customers that order from us, I make it a point to spend that time to get to know them and create a real friendship. We are a family here at The Franco Company and we truly believe that we feel like friends with all of our past and future clients and hope they feel the same. We want to be more than just a furniture company, we want to be part of the community.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
We are all about the sports and music scene. Big hockey fans here so The Stars game in downtown Dallas is a must if you haven’t been. The music scene here is amazing as well, just throw a rock and your sure to hit a great venue to see some local or national artist. Our Manager Garrett is a musician himself so you might catch him playing a show around town.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My wife and my daughter have played a big factor in my drive and work ethic. I just want to give them the best life that I can. My wife has been patient with the long work hours I put in and the ups and downs of running a business. It’s definitely not an easy thing to deal with especially with our 2 year old daughter but she is there for me to give advise and support.
