We had the good fortune of connecting with Rizzo Blaze and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Rizzo, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
The thought process behind starting my own business was to creates way for myself and those in my circle to attain Freedom. Financial Freedom, Freedom of creativity, to carve our own lane and make our own rules. Through this I can bring light to the world through my music. Raising the consciousness of my generation one listener at a time. We are conditioned to work until we die without enjoying the journey on the way. There is a universe inside of you
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
This journey to my current point has been filled with peaks and valleys. I caught momentum quickly with the release of my mixtape “Breakthrough” with Dallas-native producer Rayy Hall in 2013 and was blessed to be featured in XXL magazine that same year. The next year I received a co-sign from Sledgren of Taylor Gang for my song “Chad Butler” which led to a boost in fanbase. In 2016 i saw an exponential boost in popularity after releasing “Jetlag featuring Idontknowjeffery. I then accompanied him on a 8 city run called “The Rehab” tour . Lesson learned along the way where to always enjoy the journey, the good and the bad, and always take every opportunity with utmost seriousness. I want to show the world that Dallas, TX is a hotbed of talent and creativity and make my mark as one of the best artists in music in general
I’m currently diving deeper into my craft and making some of the best music I’ve ever made and recently released my music video for my new single “Radio (featuring SoHo)”
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
First day I would take them to oak cliff and eat at the legendary Rudy’s chicken, next day get some Carribean cuisine at Heroe’s, the third day would be Pappas BBQ, The drum djam at the green elephant, then The grassy knoll where Kennedy got assassinated, on the weekend I would let them sit in on a couple of studio sessions so they can see how I do my craft and we can go to a cowboys game.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to shoutout @cubanbarbie_13 , @rayymannoodles, @Kushpackcris, @isaidSoHo, @BoukieFlame
