We had the good fortune of connecting with Rikki Bett and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Rikki, how did you come up with the idea for your business?
A sweet friend needed a new resume and asked me to make it for her knowing how much I loved words and design. She raved about it, told others, people started getting hired, and a little business was born.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My mission is to shine a light on your brand. It’s truly my joy to encourage and celebrate successes with others. I get geeked out excited about resumes, marketing strategy, content creation, and building brands. I am the person that loves commercials, saves flyers, and am always thinking about positioning and growth. Getting to this moment has been a journey but I have complete peace that I am exactly where I need to be. I am thankful that God has given me this business and my goal is to be the best steward possible. Wait, is it too late for another shout out?! Let me say this, if you are starting your own, pray for one good friend that will stay near that will sharpen you. One friend that will remind you of your calling. One friend that will pray for you when you feel weak. You may have a handful of encouragers or cheerleaders in your life, but who is the ONE that you will call when you think you have made all the mistakes or that you have taken a misstep. Identify your person, your counsel, and hold them tight (Love you Gena).

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Heeeeey best friend, ready for the best time ever?

The plan is to make cheesecake brownies, stay up until we feel delirious (9:30pm), play 90’s reggae loudly, and put on an abundance of makeup like we are going out … We aren’t …

Yep. That is the itinerary.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Oh, where do I even begin? I am forever thankful for my friend Cristy Moya who saw more in me than I saw in myself.
A huge shout out goes out to my sweet husband that believed in me enough to bless a leap of faith and go all in.
