We had the good fortune of connecting with Rianna Powell and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Rianna, what’s something about your industry that outsiders are probably unaware of?
Being in the Fashion/Beauty/Health Industry is very hard. Rather you’re a freelancer or you work for a large corporation. And I’ve been on both sides. Staying Inspired to create cool meaningful projects can be more challenging than many would think

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I would like to describe myself as a Jack of all trades. I went to Parsons the New School of Design and Majored in Fashion Marketing & Communications…there is where I started the creation of my blog and went headfirst into the modeling industry. It got so much traction that during the shutdown I turned my quirky opinions into a book. After the release of my book I graduated and started my social media management experience. I at one point had my own digital marketing company with a few friends after a few clients we decided to let that go. I then got into the Medical Spa industry…the Health and beauty industry go hand and hand with fashion. Days upon opening Hurricane Ian came and destroyed my building. I saw it simply as redirection. Not to quit on the dream but maybe put it back on the shelf for a while. I currently FINALLY broke into the interior design industry where I work for a luxury design firm in Naples,Fl. I absolutely love it. Before College I was stuck in between fashion and interior design. I went with Fashion. I soon learned I didn’t really enjoy the corporate side of the Fashion Industry and I have worked my butt off trying to find my way into interior Design. Here I can express myself through my outfits but truly let out my creative juices. I am also working on a lifestyle brand with a best friend of mine that will launch pretty soon so stay tuned for that.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
We would obviously have to hit the beach. Grab drinks on 5th Ave in Naples. Then lunch at the Ritz. We could have a day trip to Miami and go shopping in Brickell.
I would have to show them the Tampa Bay area and enjoy a day at Seista Key Beach.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to thank my parents first and foremost. Without the support I truly don’t know where I would be. With any business venture or opportunities that come my way they are my biggest cheerleaders
