Meet Rana Rose | Owner and CEO, Accounting with a Purpose, LLC

We had the good fortune of connecting with Rana Rose and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Rana, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
After working for other organizations for the last 30 years as an accountant, I decided to start my company Accounting with a Purpose, LLC because I reached a point in my career that I no longer wanted to be guided by another organization’s vision instead opting to chart my own path to create my own vision. With God’s blessing, I have forged ahead to make that a reality.

This new journey is a labor of love. Not in my wildest dreams, I envisioned myself as an entrepreneur but God had other plans. He told me to step out on faith to start this new journey and I obeyed. My thought process for starting my business was to serve small businesses and hope my company’s partnership with them would become an integral part of their success story. In essence, if they succeed I succeed.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My company Accounting with a Purpose, LLC helps small businesses financially invest in themselves by providing bookkeeping, income tax, and consulting services resulting in revenue growth and tax savings. My company not only provides our clients with financial information but is a financial partner to guide and educate them to ensure they are equipped with the proper information to make sound business decisions. As a one-stop shop for small businesses, we look forward to partnering with them in any capacity that will be deemed beneficial to reach their full potential.

The biggest differentiator for my business compared to others is the “partnership” with my clients. We are committed to providing financial data for their financials and tax planning throughout the year and meeting to discuss that data on a monthly or quarterly basis to keep them abreast of their finances throughout the year. We are in complete alignment with our clients to allow them to focus on growing their businesses while we help alleviate stressors by delivering accurate financials timely and acting as a sounding board for any of their questions.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I’m relatively new to the DFW area. I lived here for only 8 months. Some of the places I would visit for recreation are the Aquaruim, Botanical Gardens, Top Golf, one of the wineries and if it’s basketball or football season (Mavericks or Cowboys game). For food, I love First Watch, Mi Cocina, and Ocean Prime. Unfortunately, I don’t know many spots in Dallas because I’m new to the area but I intend to explore.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
With any significant life change, there will be people in your life that support, uplift, and encourage you to pursue your dreams. First and foremost, I have to give all of the glory to God for giving me permission to pursue this dream of serving others. Also, I have some honorable mentions of family and friends who supported me every step of the way with their prayers and encouragement. I want to thank my daughter Aaliyah, sister Tesha, and friends Trinetta and Chelsea with all my heart for keeping me focused on my goal and supporting me in the pursuit of my goal.Thank you again for featuring me in your Shoutout Series.
