We had the good fortune of connecting with Rachel Dymond and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Rachel, what do you attribute your success to?
Having not only an amazing product but also providing wonderful service and creating relationships!

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I have dreamed of owning my own bakery since I was little. I grew up cooking and baking with my mom and grandparents. What sets my bakery apart from others is the family recipes we use, the high quality ingredients and that we make everything in house from scratch and we bake daily! I am continually researching new techniques, recipes, and ingredients to keep our menu exciting and fresh! We opened our doors in 2020 right as Covid was beginning and I am most proud to not only have made it through the pandemic, but to still be in business! These last three years have not been easy by any means. The rising costs of goods and shortages has taken flexibility, research, constantly watching costs, and looking for the best options for ingredients & packaging. I’ve learned to never give up. Having employees that you can trust, and that want to succeed with you are invaluable. You can never coast. I am always searching for ways to better myself, my product, and my staff. You have to be willing to think outside the box and not to be afraid to try new things. Something I want the world to know about my brand, is that so much of it was inspired by my Grandpa. When he retired from the police force he began cooking and baking as a hobby. He loved to go to bookstores, look at cook books, and develop his own recipes. As a young girl I was in awe of the wonderful recipes he created to share with the family! He gave all of his grandkids nicknames, and mine was Moonbeam. That is what inspired the name I chose for my bakery! My hope is that when people buy our pies and treats to share with friends and family, they help create lasting memories the way my grandpa’s treats did for me!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would take them to the Fort Worth zoo or Dallas aquarium for a day! It would also be fun to rent a boat and go out on a lake to enjoy our beautiful weather! Another day we might checkout the HUB or outlets in Allen! Old town grapevine or down town mckinney for wine tasting and checking out the local shops is always a fun day! A few of our favorite places to eat are Italian Garden in Mckinney, Fontina Ristorante in Mckinney, Scrambler Cafe in Princeton, and Rivera’s Salva Tex- Mex in Farmersville. While in Farmersville, Hibbitts Ice cream is a must stop!!! We love finding mom and pop restaurants to try so searching out some new ones would also be in the list of to dos!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I dedicate this shoutout to my Husband! He has always been my biggest cheerleader and supporter!
