We had the good fortune of connecting with Phoebe Le and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Phoebe, can you tell us about an impactful book you’ve read and why you liked it or what impact it had on you?
“No Death, No Fear” by Thich Nhat Hanh has profoundly shaped my perspective. It teaches that life and death are natural cycles. Overcoming the fear of death, failure, or embarrassment unlocks new opportunities and allows us to live fully. It encourages me to be brave, dream big, and embrace failure-because, in the end, nothing else really matters.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
We all have dreams, goals, and ambition.  I once dreamed of having my own business, one that would allow me to support my family.  That dream began like a blurry polaroid photo—unclear and distant.  But with each passing day, that image has slowly come into focus.

Achieving these dreams has required setting clear goals, working hard, and making financial sacrifices by investing in continuous education and advanced training.  I’ve competed at the highest level to sharpen my skills, all with the intention of becoming the very best.  My goal is simple: to offer my clients unmatched care, expertise, and beauty services that leave them feeling flawless and empowered.

Hello, my name is Phoebe Le.  I’m a single mom living in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, and I’ve spent 18 years immersed in the beauty spa industry.  I am the oldest child in my family and the first to graduate from a university in Vietnam.  After earning my degree, I dreamed of continuing my studies in the United States. I t was during this journey that I fell in love with the beauty industry.

My career in beauty began with nothing but dreams, goals, and ambition.  The road was far from easy.  My parents were still in Vietnam, and I had just given birth to a baby boy.  But with the love and encouragement of my family, I slowly began to rebuild my life.
As Nietzsche once said, “That which does not kill me makes me stronger.”  Today, I am stronger than ever, fueled by my faith in God, the support of my family, and the lessons learned through life adversity.  I’ve come to realize that without life’s challenges and setbacks, we wouldn’t fully appreciate the joy of triumph.  In my darkest moments, I leaned into faith, love, and divine guidance—and found my way forward.

My clients recognize my dedication.  For me, striving for perfection isn’t just a slogan—it’s a way of life.  Every client, no matter how many I have, receives my full attention.  I ensure that each experience is personal and that every individual leaves feeling beautiful and radiant.  As Vidal Sassoon once said, “If you don’t look good, we don’t look good.” I’ve made this philosophy my own: If you don’t look amazing, we don’t look good.

The Spirit of America
To me, America represents second chances—a place where anything is possible, regardless of where you come from or what challenges you’ve faced.

The word AMERICAN breaks down into three powerful ideas:
* AM – I AM responsible for my own life.  I take ownership of my successes and failures, and I do not blame others for my shortcomings.
* ER – I will make mistakes along the way.  Life is filled with ERrors, but I will course-correct and stay on the path to victory.
* I CAN – If someone else can do it, so can I.

This is the land of second chances.  It doesn’t matter who you are, where you’ve been, or what you’ve done—here, you can always start anew.  Get up and keep going!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I will take them to the Stockyards in Fort Worth. We can savor some delicious Texas BBQ! The warm Texas climate is perfect for hiking and visiting wineries in Granbury. I have a passion for home-cooked meals and appreciate engaging conversations over a glass of wine. I am excited to showcase the charm of Texas, and I take great pride in being a Texan.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to God, my mom, dad, son (David), and aunt (Hoa Tran). Their unwavering love, encouragement, and support have been instrumental in shaping my journey and success. I wouldn’t be where I am today without them by my side.

Sincerely,

Phoebe Le
