We had the good fortune of connecting with Peggy Tanous and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Peggy, how has your background shaped the person you are today?
I was born and raised in Orange county, CA, but spent summers and holidays at our family ranch in Southern Utah. I think this kept me very humble and grounded. I started acting at 10 and started modeling at 12. This gave me great communication skills and opportunities to work in so many different types of industries, which I think helps today being relatable as a celebrity influencer and TV host!
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I’ve been in the entertainment industry most of my life. My favorite part of the industry is my hosting. Wether it’s a tv show, live event, infomercial or charity event, I feel that is where I shine. Stepping into the influencer world a few years ago has been fun because I can do it on my time and as much or as little as I want. I think being an influencer I stand out because I cover so many niches. I’m primarily lifestyle, but I promote health, fitness, fashion, beauty, anti-aging, jewelry and travel.
I think a valuable lesson I’ve learned is to not take anything too seriously and if you’re not having fun doing something than stop doing it.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Well since I’m new to the Dallas area everything is new, exciting and fun to me! I also am still discovering things here, so I haven’t done a ton yet. When friends visit I always take them to see the walking of the Longhorns in Fort Worth cuz it’s so TX and nostalgic. I also love going to Highland Park Village for lunch or dinner. And I just filmed something in Trinity Park which was so cool cuz you see the entire Dallas skyline and even Reunion Tower from there!
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My mom deserves a shoutout! She always lives outside the box and on her terms. She’s very independent and dove into so many businesses. She went to every audition with me as a kid to make sure I was safe! I truly admire her! And she raised 5 girls. My Dad traveled a lot, so often she was alone. She is a true pioneer and never stops moving. I call her the energizer bunny!
