We had the good fortune of connecting with Parth Tripathi and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Parth, we’d love for you to start things off by telling us something about your industry that we and others not in the industry might be unaware of?
I believe that one thing that people don’t understand regarding the podcast industry is how much you learn throughout the process. Podcasters not only make content that can help others learn about a niche, but they embark on a journey where curiosity leads to success. For me specifically, creating a brand that focuses on transparency in healthcare for those early on in their professional careers, I learn a lot about experiences I will eventually face and how to create successful and beneficial opportunities for myself. Furthermore, talking to people with years of wisdom on the topic shows me the depth and complexity that the healthcare field holds. Their insights provide a roadmap of challenges and triumphs that lie ahead, giving me a chance to prepare and innovate. As I engage in conversations with these seasoned experts, I gain a profound understanding of the nuances that textbooks might miss.

But it’s not just about technical knowledge. Podcasting teaches you about communication, connection, and storytelling. Every episode is a chance to craft narratives that resonate with your audience, weaving personal experiences with expert insights. Learning to ask the right questions and guide discussions naturally becomes an art, one that evolves with each episode. Through trial and error, you refine your interviewing skills, creating a symbiotic relationship where both you and your guests shine. The podcasting journey is a continuous learning process, not only about your chosen subject matter but about yourself as well. You uncover your strengths and vulnerabilities, gaining the confidence to speak your mind and share your perspective openly. As you embrace vulnerability, your authenticity becomes magnetic, attracting listeners who relate to your journey and outlook.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am most excited about being able to branch by podcast out into other careers and industries, other than physicians. I believe it is very important to learn about the other jobs in the healthcare industry and I can help provide quality information to those who are interested in careers such as nursing, dentistry, etc. Starting my podcast was difficult, as I had no idea what to do. However, with a goal in mind and motivation to achieve it, I was able to get my foot off the ground. My goal through my brand is to uncover the raw details of healthcare, both in the required education and the field itself, through an informative podcast, on which I bring current students, residents, and healthcare workers, and a blog, which will bring specific topics to light with the use of data and research, to assist high school students and undergraduates in discovering what it truly takes to become a medical professional. As a result, my brand provides a cumulative view into a field that is not as transparent as others and shows a true account of the journey. It can help students in our local community decide if the industry is right for them or not.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would dedicate my shoutout to the Alzheimer’s Association, an organization that inspires people worldwide in the Alzheimer’s space, regarding research, funding, and correct care. My interest in the health sector has begun ever since I saw my uncle as an anesthesiologist in India but never cultivated and blossomed until my grandfather was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. However, it wasn’t the disease itself that interested me, but the fact that no doctor, as experienced and skillful as they may have been, was able to solve the problem. In my mind, the same question kept appearing: “The answer has to be somewhere inside, right?” After that experience and going to several appointments with my grandfather, I fell in love with human anatomy. As a result, I set my dreams on becoming a doctor at a very young age. I am also passionate about helping others and taking initiative instead of watching on the sidelines. Hopefully, that is what I have done with “A Lens Into Medicine”, and will continue to do in the future.
