We had the good fortune of connecting with Pamela Breidenfield and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Pamela, how do you think about risk?
Risk is where anything can happen. When you step out of your comfort zone you create an opening for possibilities to come in . I’ve created several different business some succeeded, some failed. Each time prepared me for the next venture.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
It gives me great joy to take discarded pieces of furniture and create them into pieces of beauty. That people pay me good money to create for their home environment. I’ve recently move to St. Petersburg.. where the sun, sea and sand have been a rebirth of inspiration.
I take my passion from my environment and paint it on the canvas of furniture. Across dressers I’ve painted sailboats sailing on waters with sky and sandy beaches. Starfish, mermaid, and octopus tentacles have moved across nightstand tops and cabinet doors. The possibilities are infinite.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Go on the beach at the Don Cezar , Grab an amazing hamburger and beer at the Hangar and catch some live jazz on Monday 7 pm, sight see down Central Ave. any late night for people watching best restaurants, boutique shopping.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My relationship both romantic and business with Pierre Olivier, former President of Orlane cosmetics gave me the opportunity to learn what it takes to create your own business when he and I started up our import business 50 years ago . That knowledge was a stepping stone to my freedom to always work for myself.
