We had the good fortune of connecting with Pam Bowers and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Pam, what is the most important factor behind your success?
The most important factor behind our success is staying true to who we are. We are very real with our clients. We share our own shortcomings. We have fun! We bring humor and light into an area that, for many, is depressing. Clutter causes stress which increases the number of doctor visits one must make. Reducing clutter reduces stress and allows you to actually enjoy your life rather than be controlled by it.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Chaos Pros, LLC just celebrated its 14th anniversary on September 13! There are several areas where we are different than other companies like ours. What stands out in our minds are the following: the work environment we create, our “we ain’t skeered” mentality, and the relationships we develop with our clients. We don’t just have clients; we have friends. The biggest lesson that I can offer to others that I wish I had learned early was to make sure to invest in yourself early. Seek advice from a business law attorney at the beginning. It’s important to be sure that your client agreements/contracts are air tight, and that you are following the proper channels to establish your business whether it’s your business name, your trademark, or your business setup. Make sure you cross your t’s and dot your i’s. We want the world to know that, as in any industry, you get what you pay for. Getting professional organization help is an INVESTMENT not an expense. We have saved marriages, relationships, and helped rescue clients from themselves. With clutter gone, the load that fell from our clients’ shoulders would fill the Grand Canyon and then some!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Whenever we have friends visit, it is always hard to choose which activities we are going to do…there is just too much to fit into a visit! From downtown Frisco’s adorable shops to the Frisco RoughRiders baseball games, to Fort Worth’s stockyards or Dallas’ historical locations, there is always something to do here!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
The National Association of Productivity and Organizing Professionals (NAPO), and more specifically, the Dallas Chapter, have, without a doubt, contributed greatly to our successes. The networking and leadership opportunities offered through membership have helped both me and my team members to grow professionally and personally.
