Hi Pallavi, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
When I moved to Dallas, I was already in this line of business for a long time now. But had worked only on the operations side of it. When I moved here, I thought about the sales part of the business when I saw that for most first time home buyers the whole process is very overwhelming. They need someone to walk them through the whole process and explain the intricacies involved in each step, contracts, payments involved etc. This is the biggest purchase of their life and they cannot afford to make any mistakes. If they have someone to guide them through each step, it will avoid them from making any expensive investment mistake. There are many steps in the home buying process. Buyers need to have information about and ask questions like – Where to start? What to look out for when touring a home? What is an offer? How to decide on the price to offer? What payments are involved and when? What to look out for during inspections & what questions to ask the inspector? What is a survey & how to read it and many more!!! When I saw this, I wanted to take this opportunity to help as many new home buyers as possible and guide them through this process to make it easy for them. It’s very important to have someone honest and passionate working on your side and fighting for your best interests to get you the best possible deal! And also tell you about what NOT to buy!!

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I love my job and am very passionate about my business. I am excited of the fact that this is my brand and I have the freedom and liberty to develop it the way I want. I am excited that I am my own boss! I am answerable and accountable only to myself. This job provides me the flexibility to set my own hours and totally commit to the business 200%. The better service and expertise I provide to my clients, the more it helps my business to grow. I am proud of the fact that most of my business is referral-based and my amazing clients refer their friends and family to me. This shows that my advice and knowledge has helped them select their dream home and they are happy to trust me and refer their loved ones to me. I am proud of this fact. For me my clients are my family and friends and not just the next paycheck! This business comes with it’s share of challenges too! Which I have learned to overcome along the way and am still learning. New business models come up to challenge the old ways of doing this business. I have to keep up with the latest trends and keep updating my training to make sure I provide the right service to my clients. I have learnt to understand the needs and likes of clients of different personalities. I enjoy meeting different types of people in this journey! What I would like my clients to know about my brand and story is that if you want someone who is totally honest and committed working for your interests, you will not be disappointed!! Especially in the current market, with multiple offers, you need someone fully dedicated to the job to win you the dream home!!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would take my friend to see the landmarks like the Reunion Tower, Perot Museum of Nature and Science and tour the Dallas Arts District. Also would love to take them to see Fort Worth’s legendary Stockyards! For dining, I would love to take my friends to my favorite Mexican restaurant – La Hacienda Ranch and try their Tex-Mex food!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
First and foremost is the support of my family who totally support my crazy work schedule!! We call it Realtor hours!! There is no fixed 9 to 5 work schedule. Sometimes, I am writing contracts or am on calls to meet deadlines late at night and I am on the road most of the evenings and weekends! I wouldn’t be able to do this without the support of my husband and kids! My Brokerage, Fathom Realty offers amazing support and training tools! Our leadership, directors and colleagues are always available for any help and offer unwavering support and encouragement whenever needed!! Without Fathom’s support, this job will not be easy!!
