We had the good fortune of connecting with P and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi P, what is the most important factor behind your success?
The most important factor to VSN’s success is showing people that it’s cool to support people trying to make their own way. Everybody can’t work a regular 9-5 and that’s cool. Also showing people that they can be a little creative too. It’s cool to sit down and make stuff as simple as that sounds. After I’m done I just want to leave the city inspired. 

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Pieces under the VSN umbrella are usually pulled from personal experiences. I may have been in Panama and saw an old ripped up piece of paper on the ground . But it has a piece of a design or logo or some kind of artwork unfinished. I’ll go and expound on it. Or a piece that I may feel is incomplete I’ll go and flip it and make it my own. Also a kid I was also the only child for 18 years on my dad side so I got to sit back and listen to all the OG’s converse and soak up the gems. That’s usually how I set up the design, I design the artwork and figure out which gems my peers need at the time. That way we’re always learning together because I write down a bar everyday. Something I heard someone say or some advise I got, I’ll share it with the world. You can charge it to the game .

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Honesty I don’t get out much because I’m too busy drawing, but for me, any place where there’s records (vinyls) and/or thrift clothes, Maybe that place Free Play or Texas Live .

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I could never be where I am now if it weren’t for my mom, she’s been the main support. Also my Dad & stepmom, I appreciate them for being one of the main forces driving VSN right now. I’ve been watching Candi, my stepmom for years and how she handles her business with her non-profit “FINDING FAITH”, and it’s motivated me to actually do this business thing. Also, my friends , Longo ( & Thor and. Loki), Stoney, Paul, Micah, Miguel, Kris, ASTROGIIRL, WOLVESDONTCRY, Dre, Urban, Alyssia, and anyone else I talk to everyday. I can’t wait until we’re all where we want to be. And last but not least my Pops. Edmundo Eduardo, I get most of my knowledge from him, my style , ideas about life in general. And the reason I do it all, all my bro’s! Love y’all !
