We had the good fortune of connecting with Nykki Brown and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Nykki, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
My thought process derived from my desire and passion to create time and financial freedom for myself as well as to leave an avenue for generational wealth for my family. These components gives me a great work life balance when I’m able to do things, attend family/friend events or vacation without asking for permission form a traditional 9 to 5, while working a steady schedule with no ceiling on my income. I wanted to be able to leave behind either the business or an optional path for my legacy.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I’ve always had a love for the beauty industry as far back as high school taking cosmetology classes, but upon graduating decided to enter and graduate college. Fast forward to having my eyebrows microbladed, that love peaked again and I decided to take a course in permanent makeup in 2019. So here I am now offering services to make clients feel good about themselves while saving time! This permanent makeup industry can be very challenging, but also very rewarding with amazing transformations. I always practice consistently and stay up to date with continued education or to level up my business. Junoesque Beaute specializes in eyebrow artistry to achieve the desired look for those who have thin, sparse brows due to certain health conditions (i.e. alopecia, cancer, thyroid) over plucking or those just wanting beautifully, sculpted brows. Other services include natural brows lip blushing/lip neutralization for the perfect pout and training needs servicing all of Dallas and Ft. Worth.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If I had a friend visiting from out of town if we’re hanging out, it’s all about good food and vibes. Some of my favorite places include brunch, 360 Brunch House and great photo opps at XOXO, the Gallery Rooftop at the Canvas Hotel; lunch at Haywire in Uptown or Social House in Arlington; for a nice dinner with a great ambiance Nick and Sam’s or Perry’s Steakhouse and Grille ; for soulfood, True Kitchen & Kocktails or Sweet Georgia Brown and for fun Adretti’s Indoor Games or Top Golf.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
