We had the good fortune of connecting with Nino Melean and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Nino, what do you attribute your success to?
Confidence and patience! Nothing gets built overnight and when you are the one behind everything, it can be challenging to feel like you are taking the right steps towards your end goal. To anyone starting their own business, whether it is photography or not, I would encourage them to trust in themselves and their intuition and to take their time to enjoy every single step of the way, be patient and kind with yourself.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My art is inspired by the pure and enduring love that families share. Capturing those intimate moments and creating lasting memories for families is incredibly fulfilling. While I enjoy photographing couples, events, and products, my heart truly lies in family photography.

My photography style leans towards candid and intimate moments, but I also appreciate the beauty of more posed and intricate compositions. I strive to make my clients feel comfortable and confident in front of the camera, so they can be themselves and enjoy the experience.

With over five years of experience as a nanny, I have a natural connection with children and understand how to make them feel at ease. This expertise allows me to create fun and engaging sessions for the whole family.

As for how did I get to where I am today, while my passion for photography was always there, it wasn’t until last year that I took the leap of faith. It has been challenging but with perseverance and dedication, I have little by little gotten to a point in my career where I am happy.

I’m incredibly proud of my studio and the fact that I’ve been able to create a space where families can come together to capture their love and connection.

My ultimate goal is to bring joy and happiness to the families I work with by capturing their most precious moments. I hope that my photographs will be cherished for years to come and serve as a reminder of the love and connection they share.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
So many places to visit here in Dallas! I would take them to The Arboretum for a nice brunch and stroll around the gardens afterwards, another safe spots will have to be the Dallas Farmers Market and Bishops Arts with all their weekend markets, The Dallas Zoo or Aquarium are fun too. Addison Circle is also a nice spot to visit, Addison Sushi 69 and Ristorante Antonio are great restaurants nearby the park, I don’t really drink so I wouldn’t be able to recommend bars or anything like that, I’m your girl for desserts though. Creamistry and Val’s Cheesecakes are absolute must haves!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My family and partner are my biggest supporters. Their love, encouragement, and support have played a vital role in my success.
