We had the good fortune of connecting with NiCole Sutton and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi NiCole, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
My thought process about starting my own business was very easy! Before I got into eyelash extensions I was an beautician for 14 years. And then the doctor said long time standing begin to be hard on my body, so I know I love serving people so I decided to stay in my field of work and service clients with the new up and coming thing and it was lashes!! I start my lashes Journey in 2010 and still going!!!

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I believe I’m different from other lash tech because I’m me, I’m very business with my client we have an understanding. Most of my clients are very professional so they makes my job easy . Now in the beginning of my lash journey it was not easy I would go to salon sit all day talk to the ladies who came and got there hair done from the beauticians that work in a salon that I was working in in Highland Park. I would tell them all about the lashes they really didn’t understand because it was all new so I said I’m sitting at the salon from 8am til 6pm without an client well I’m start doing them for free when they like them now they going come back for fill they not free so I started building my clientele like that. I had people say you crazy for doing them for free I said well the will walk around and people will see there lashes and ask what you got going on and it start jumping from there. I want the world to know I’m very passion about what I do every day when I see my clients get up and look in the mirror and smile, it makes me feel like I made someone smile and happy at the same time!! I mean I really love with I do! I love waking up at 4am start my 1st client at 5am getting off at 7pm so I want them to know they important to me and I love what I do!!!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If I had an Bestfriend which I do but it’s my family my husband and my 4 kids!! But if I had an best outside of them I would love to take to Deep Ellum or Bishop Arts. I love to walk around and site see them to area not to big and they both beautiful! Deep Ellum we would eat at Tiki Loco they have great vegan tacos. And in Bishop Arts I would take them to Casa Del Vegano omg the best Mexican vegan food I ever had I love Mexican food! I love taking pictures and both these area have nice places to take pictures!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
All my clients deserves credit and recognition of my journey. They have been with me from the beginning from my first time lashes to keep coming to me to see my growth in lash Industry. My clients love me and I LOVE all of them they are all my family. I love seeing them walking in and sharing there day with me. My mentorship is my other lash sisters on Instagram they are very nice to me and helps me when I have questions I also took an update class with one of them Prettybliinks by DPollock LLC Love her!!
