We had the good fortune of connecting with Nick Fellows and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Nick, other than deciding to work for yourself, what else do you think played a pivotal role in your story?
The single most important decision that I made that definitely 100% continues to contribute to my success would be marriage. The old saying that two heads are better then one is true especially when the two people are equally yoked mentally, physically, and spiritually. Mentally me and my wife of now 9 years are able to support and hold one another accountable to our individual and collective goals and visions. Physically , well thats the fun stuff if you know what I mean! From which also has come the success of my two beautiful kids Cross and GG who are my biggest accomplishment yet, family and legacy. Spiritually me and my wife Ferrell are there for one another when things get rough and we constantly agree in faith for the will and goodness of God in every area of our lives. This has been the recipe for success for my journey as an entrepreneur.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
At a young age I was blessed to realize that I had a natural gift for art and creativity. This gift made me different from most others so I embraced it early. Studying different art forms throughout school helped cultivate a solid understanding and love for all that art is which is literally a part of all things. As I continued on my journey of self identity in life through art, it lead me closer to God which today Is my most important relationship. Seeing that God is the ultimate creator of all things including you and I, my love to create grew stronger along with my love for the greatest artist and ultimate creator. I believe that God created everyone of us with the capacity and gifts to create no matter what form of work you use do it. Just be sure to always acknowledge the one who gave you the abilities , and remember to use those gifts to glorify Him. My brand and life’s mission is to spread this revelation throughout all forms of art nationwide. #GGG
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
A few of my favorite spots in the city would be to visit the DMA and see what new art exhibits/ events they have available. Always a good experience as an art lover. I would also visit Sandaga 16 for live music and drinks. I like to visit White Rock lake for some nature and outdoor fun like fishing and bike riding as well. Church at Global Fellow Church in Garland is always a go to blessed experience for family and friends when the come to town.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My God gets all of the credit first and foremost for blessing me with a mother (Jeanette Fellows) that taught me how to keep God first in my heart and walk by faith daily. My wife Ferrell Fellows who is my better half and the brains of every operation and business venture that we envision. Also the many clients and friends who have supported the GGG (Give God Glory) movement and literally everything I do. Without consistent, faithful support success cannot be sustained. You all are highly appreciated and deeply loved. Thank you!
