We had the good fortune of connecting with Niche Everest and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Niche, do you have some perspective or insight you can share with us on the question of when someone should give up versus when they should keep going?
You know, it’s the law of attraction. I believe I was put on this earth to create & live a luxurious life and I don’t mean the fame and riches. I mean actually being able to live life, travel and have fun experiences so I can appreciate every second of it before i die. Since I believe I’m deserving of this, I’ve put my mind and soul working so hard to get to where I want to be in life, to attract the positive outcomes. it’s like speaking your manifestations into existence. You’ll get everything you deserve within due time and even though there are moments that makes it feel like none of this shit is worth it, if you continue to believe in yourself here comes the positive manifestations you attracted picking you right back up.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Well, I specialize in the art of event throwing/planning in the Dallas art scene. From art shows to nightlife parties, I plan it all. My main reoccurring event is called the Pixie Pound. The Pixie Pound was just an idea that me and my business partner Alanna Jamerson made up while delivering DoorDash orders. It wasn’t easy when we first started, honestly our first event had a pretty bad turnout. But since the first event, we’ve gained a tremendous amount of support and love from the community. Our parties provide an experience like no other.
Here at the pound not only do we party like the pixies of the nightlife, but we also put on local artists, vendors, DJ’s, and more and we give them lots of exposure and networking opportunities. It was not easy getting this all set up and moving, I definitely went through multiple hardships and hurdles on the way up. My optimism and the huge support I gain from the community keeps me going everyday. Without the motivation from the creative scene here in Dallas, I wouldn’t be where I’m at today. The world knows me as an event planner now, but I have so many more talents that you’ll all soon see just wait 😉
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Well first off any underground parties that’s happening that weekend, gotta show them how talented the Dallas scene is let alone how fun we can get. Then I’ll take them to all the best food places in MY opinion in Dallas, like we would first go to Korean shopping center In Carrollton, from 85 degrees to oh kdogs, then Deep Ellum of course that’s a must. I wouldn’t stay in downtown Dallas for too long tho since traffic has become ridiculous now but besides the DMA I would also take them to the Margaret Hunt Hill bridge!
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My family & friends especially my parents & uncle Leader. I come from a loving,
funny, supportive family, my parents came from Tanzania to start a whole new life for themselves so they would be able to provide a better life for my sisters & I. If my parents weren’t so open minded and supportive as they are I wouldn’t be the person I am, doing the things I do. You know actually I get my event promoting skills from my parents watching them throw the craziest parties for our African community from NYC to TX till this day had me like yea let me dabble in that. Now my uncle, I feel like he’s been my biggest supporter ever since I was born, especially with me being a creative. He’s has always helped come back 10x stronger, always giving me advice through tough times in my life, guiding me a bit through the business aspect of the arts, to even naming me Niche. Without these 3 people in my life I wouldn’t be the loving, genuine, exciting human being I am today. I love you guys so much
