We had the good fortune of connecting with Nelson Oribhabor and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Nelson, how has your work-life balance changed over time?
Work live balance is super important for me. Between 2016 and 2018, I sold cars full and went to grad school part time. Ever since I graduated, balancing my full time marketing gig, photography passion, and personal life is my main priority to keep peace of mind.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Currently, I’m a Digital Marketing Manager for Avondale Dealerships. My path to my current role was definitely an unconventional road taken. I went to North Texas for undergrad, sold Mercedes-Benz while earning my MBA from SMU. Going to grad school while selling luxury cars was a huge challenge that tested my patience and time management. I got into photography to de-stress from work and school. My goal was to really dive into sports photography, but as more people got worked of my side hustle, I’ve dived into portraits, cars, products, and more! I would want people to know that if you have a small business, I’d love to help create content for your brand to grow.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
First, you gotta hit up a few places to eat. Velvet Taco is my go to spot for tacos and margs to get the night going! I’m personally more of a home body though and love watching sports. Due to COVID, I’ve recently picked up golf, so I’d definitely hit up Top Golf to chill!
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to shoutout my family for always being supportive of my passions and dedicated to their own hustles. I also want to give kudos to all the entrepreneurs in the respective fields – times are tough but people are tougher.
