We had the good fortune of connecting with Natalie Johnson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Natalie, Let’s talk about principles and values – what matters to you most?
I value grit–a positive, non-cognitive trait based on an individual’s perseverance of effort combined with the passion for a particular long-term goal or end state (a powerful motivation to achieve an objective). When someone has grit, they have passion and perseverance. This trait is one I continually try to foster in so many areas of my own life– my fitness, my work, etc.

I believe grit is what has gotten me to where I am today. I have meshed my passion for brand strategy and graphic design with my heart for feeding those in need through my business Impackedful Creative. Taking my business full time didn’t happen overnight. I have put in long hours, late nights, sacrificed so much, moved states, and a whole long list of other pivotal factors that have led up to me persistently pursuing my passion with grit fueling my every move.

I am not afraid to put in the work to something I am passionate about and navigate setbacks by bringing persistence to the table time and time again. I utilize grit to make my business succeed and bring awareness, change, and impact towards a cause I care about. I think girt is something truly worth valuing and practicing.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
When I founded my company, I wanted it to be about more than just helping brands strategically stand out. That is why I created Impackedful Creative with the purpose to unleash creativity for a cause. Through my visual branding services, I help brands strategically stand out and make an impact. By donating a portion of all profits to organizations that support those in need, I directly tie brands to initiatives that impact the greater good. By partnering with Impackedful, meals are provided to fill hungry bellies, leaving those in need saying, “I’m packed full.” This is what gets me super excited day in and day out! I get to help my clients make an impact in their industry while also making an impact on world hunger. I put in the work to help my clients succeed because I know their passion, ideas, concepts and services matter. My job is to help others see that.

I get amped up to keep expanding my business and growing my capabilities. I believe constant education, keeping a positive and grateful mindset, and refining my processes are key in my business’s future success. My fuel to grow and generate more business is backed by the fact that more meals are provided in doing so and that’s pretty cool.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Dallas has endless places to explore and EAT! The city is truly full of artistic creations found in many forms of media including painted murals, sculptures, cool concepts, and distinguished details that make each neighborhood so unique. My ideal day in the city with a Dallas newbie would start with a cup of coffee from LaLa Land Kind Cafe, a big ole brunch from one of the plethora of go-to brunch spots, a walk down the graffitied streets of Deep Ellum, an afternoon Dallas Farmer’s Market run, and an evening shopping hall in Bishop Arts with a must have ice-cream cone from Azucar Ice Cream Company to top it off. Oh and a visit to the Dallas Aquarium is a must too if time allowed!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I wouldn’t be where I am at without the word guru, boss babe, and overall branding genius Kate DiLeo– owner of Ennobble. I want to thank Kate for igniting the fire under me to pursue my passion of brand strategy and graphic design. Catching a cup of coffee at our apartment pool as strangers turned into a life-changing conversation when Kate agreed to take me under her wing and help me formulate my brand Impackedful Creative with her “Brand Trifecta” formula. Kate has worked with more than 200 brands across 20 sectors over the past decade, and she was generous enough to utilize that knowledge and experience to help me pursue my passion. She has helped me formulate my brand messaging, recommended influential books like Building a StoryBrand by Donald Miller, and much more. I feel empowered after every conversation I’ve had with her and find myself closing high digit deals I believe are tied to the brand messaging and the foundation Kate helped me lay in my business.
