We had the good fortune of connecting with Na’Kita Span and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Na’Kita, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
The thought process behind starting my own business is in the name itself. NS5 Marketing Enterprises was born from the love I have for my children. As you probably guessed, I have 5 beautiful children Brooklyn 16, Addison 11, Houston 10 and the twins Santana & Santiago who are both 6..leaving you with Nikki Spans #Fab5…hence NS5. With a family of this size, I knew that I would have to go over and beyond to give them the world for FAMILY IS EVERYTHING TO ME!! We have been blessed to be in business for 5 years this past July. Marketing and promoting all types of businesses from tax services and restaurants to dance teams and businesses on the go…we gotcha covered! The #Fab5 are the drive to continue on this entrepreneurial journey.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I believe what sets NS5 Marketing Enterprises apart from the rest is the lingo. I know it sounds crazy lol… but it’s the way we represent a business when we post for them. It’s almost like trying to sound like a commercial, they’re catchy and people like that. We get our point across with a little twist of NS5. Staying relevant is the hard part. A lot of small businesses feel they can handle their own social media and prefer it. It’s kind of a tuffy to show them how you can help them grow with your help. Proving yourself is the convincing. I just do what I tell my clients every month…KEEP PUSHING.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Oh my… just had family here and Dallas always has so much to offer. I’m laid back so…. It’s usually Lake Ray Hubbard for me. From the AWESOME boat rides of DFW boat tours to the great restaurants on the piers that offer delicious foods to also enjoy on the boat. Wasting our breakfast times away drinking Mimosas at the “All Good Cafe” on Main. There’s so much I can’t even name it all. Dallas is just the place to be!!
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would love to give a special shoutout to two different clients. To Tip2Toe Dance Studio instructor Dea Milliner who gave me my first shot at marketing. Working with them opened up doors, allowed others to see my talent as a marketer. The other is for the owner of TaxTyme Express Ms. Rebecca Davis, who has been rocking with me for the entire 5 years! She continues to push me, allowing me flourish my talents all over her business. For them…. I’m forever grateful.
