We had the good fortune of connecting with Moses Uvere and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Moses, what is the most important factor behind your success?
My dependency on God. I live and survive by my spiritual rhythms. I believe that when I surrender my heart, my mind, my actions, my perceptions to God and his will it produces powerful results. He’s will and what he wants to accomplish in me is my wealth and prosperity.

Also, resting in the knowing that he is only going to produce good and perfect outcomes for me.

If its not restful its not fruitful.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I make hip hop music and I write sermons or lessons. Which is very creative for me. Both in which all lead back to God and he’s love for all of us. What set me apart from others is that what I make and give to the world is meant to build people up and help people find their purpose. That is the approach I maintain every time I step up to write or record a song or write and or preach a sermon. Its always about God and the other before myself.

I’m most proud of the album that I just finished. Its called – “Those that are mine” – its set to release in the next few weeks. This album give a wonderful perspective on love and relationship. Finding identity in the love and relationship we have with one another and with God.

Ive also written a book during the pandemic about my testimony and journey towards God, I hope to release this book this year as well.

I got here to this moment of influence by the grace of God through the love of so many people and the betrayal of so many others. They have formed my strength and perception of who I ‘ am and as a result has shaped me into a beast, into a savage, into a king. I’m not scared anymore to be clear about who I’ am and thats because God used people to lift me up and break me down. That’s how I got here and I’m so grateful.

It wasn’t easy the path of self discovery and surrender to God its been a hard road to travel the only way I’ve been able to do it is through the reassurance and peace that God has provided along the way even though this is hard it is for my good and its sweet and beautiful. So just enduring the difficulties and seeing the other side and being met with peace and love has been what is keeping me going.

Lessons I’ve learned are: consistency leads to great and beautiful things and rest I’ve been living my life lately by the words that if its not restful its not fruitful.

I want the world to know that I’m a broken man. Loved by a good God. That had a plan for me before I was born. He’s love for me make me incredible and of royalty.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would probably hit up some of my favorite places it eat first. Because food is life. LOL.

Odom’s in west dallas for BBQ

Rudy’s in south callas for chicken

Fuel City in downtown/south Dallas for tacos

Maybe go by white rock lake. I love that area.

Then hit deep elm to catch a vibe.

Just to name a few.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
God is first and foremost. My relationship with him is what inspires my love for people, my creations in art and my essence that I bring to the world, my personhood it is all comes from God. Its a gift.

My father. He’s my hero. He came from Africa and made something out of nothing. He’s incredible.

My wife. She is the inspiration of my life and my new album is and my new single that I just released is about her.
She embodies everything that is wonderful and challenging. I’m so grateful for her.
