We had the good fortune of connecting with Morgan Thomas and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Morgan, can you talk to us a bit about the social impact of your business?
At Morgan Paige Design Studio, I truly believe that good design can make people feel more at ease in their own homes. I work with families who are often in the middle of a big transition—like remodeling or building—and I help take a lot of the pressure off by making the process feel more clear, exciting, and manageable.

Even beyond my clients, I try to share tips, real-life projects, and behind-the-scenes moments to show that design doesn’t have to be overwhelming or reserved for huge budgets. I want people to feel like they can create a home that reflects them, even if they’re starting small. As I grow, I’d love to give back in bigger ways—whether that’s mentoring other young designers, offering design support to local organizations, or building a team that shares that same heart for helping people feel good in their space.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
At Morgan Paige Design Studio, I design refined, livable interiors for families building, remodeling, or just putting the finishing touches to their forever homes. My work blends timeless style with practical function—helping clients feel confident and supported through every step of the process.

I got my start in new construction, where I fell in love with helping people bring their vision to life. Starting my own business hasn’t been easy—and honestly, it still comes with long days and growing pains. But I’ve learned the importance of boundaries, protecting my time, and making space for what matters most—especially being present with my family.

What sets my work apart is how personal it is. I take a hands-on, thoughtful approach to every project, and I care deeply about creating homes that feel like a true reflection of the families who live in them. I want people to not only love the final design, but feel like the experience was organized, supportive, and worth every step.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
When friends visit, I like to keep things simple, relaxing, and centered around good food and conversation. We’d kick things off with lunch at Hudson House—it’s one of my go-to spots for great service, even better fries, and a fun, upscale atmosphere.

We’d spend an afternoon wandering the McKinney Farmers Market or checking out some of the shops around the historic square—there’s something about the slower pace that just feels good. One night, we’d go all out with dinner at Uchiba in Dallas. It’s one of my favorite restaurants in the city and never disappoints.

I love starting the day with a long walk and iced coffee in hand, so we’d stroll through the Willow Bend neighborhood in Plano and admire the homes. And of course, I’d plan a low-key night in with dessert and a movie—because sometimes the best memories are made in the quieter moments.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I have to give a huge shoutout to my husband—he’s believed in me from the very beginning and has always reminded me that I’m capable, even on the hard days. His support has meant everything as I’ve built this business.

I also have to thank my parents. They were the reason I got my very first job in new construction, which ended up being the thing that led me to discover my passion for interior design in the first place. I wouldn’t be where I am today without the foundation they helped me build.
