Meet Monique Jeter-Abraham | Doula, Herbalist, & Yoni Steam Facilitator

We had the good fortune of connecting with Monique Jeter-Abraham and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Monique, is your business focused on helping the community? If so, how?
Women should feel empowered but many don’t. We don’t know how to compliment or accept compliments because often we don’t feel deserving. My business help the community by my team and I setting the example of unity, love, respect, and support.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
We have a natural herbal wellness business that cater to women, men, and families. At our healing center, you will find many supplements, Jamaican bush tea, womb stimulation and Yoni Steam services. A decision was made to resign from a 9-5 job to be a full entrepreneur. This was a big challenge because we are told so much that we need consistent income, not realizing our business could make the same amount or more if we provide the dedicated time, energy, and support.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I love the Desoto Grow Market. It’s a family environment that have many entrepreneurs with all types of business and healthy food stations.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My herbalist mentor, Kira Buckley, owner of HeyyHealer has encouraged me to stand in my power and to take up space. My doula mentor, Cookie, owner of HausaOfSaj support me to be confident as a birth and postpartum doula. It takes a village to support.
