We had the good fortune of connecting with Miya Neal and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Miya, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Starting my own business definitely wasn’t my original plan. My thought process started after I graduated from college in the middle of Lockdown. After my job offer fell through because of the hiring freeze and applying for 100+ jobs I had to come up with a plan. I knew I never liked the idea of a typical 9 to 5. I wanted to still be able to do what I love, and I started to think about the type of job I would want. I noticed one of the main things I wanted out of my career was freedom, especially the freedom to work from home. I did some research and realized there were so many people who were building their own social media agencies, so they can have the exact freedom I wanted. I realized I didn’t have to go the corporate route. I dove straight in and started my business after. I already had the experience it was just time to put it into action.
What should our readers know about your business?
My business is Elise Creative Management. I help CEOs of luxury businesses elevate their social presence, activate their inner CEO, and unlock next-level business growth through organic social media marketing. I believe what sets me apart from others is that I am very big on authenticity and providing an amazing client experience for my clients. I am most proud of how far I’ve come with only being in business a little over a year. My journey hasn’t been easy. It took a lot of hard work and consistency, but I truly believe growth is on the other side of consistency. I’ve learned a lot about entrepreneurship and what it takes to run a successful business. I hope to inspire other young entrepreneurs that they too can run their own businesses.
